I kinda like this thread:

UGA is self-destructing right before our very eyes... smh...this is not good and doesn't bode well...so basically, this year, National Championship or bust...

I love UGA's misery right now. They talked all that crap after signing the "Dream Team" a couple years back only to not be smart enough to spike the ball at the 5 with no timeouts in the SEC title game.

They got absolutely killed in-state this year.

Suck it, UGA.

And we appreciate Rodney Garner.

The RT is still a great show IMO. Maybe I'm numb to the whole Bama bias thing, but what they're doing is impressive and therefore noteworthy to talk about on a Birmingham area sports talk show. I've heard them talk about Auburn too so I'm not sure what the problem is. Either way its better than Finebaum, who was much worse in that regard.

I think the final straw for me is as I've listened to them throughout the day, they've had national guys on and have opened with discussions of Bama and then completely moved on to programs like USCw & Ole Miss

They just had JC Shurbert on and didn't discuss Auburn once but talked about A&M, Mizzou, and Kentucky. So I think for a Birmingham, Alabama radio show that's an issue

I went back and watched the old signing day coaches videos, and it's amazing the difference between the old staff and the new one.

A: the old staff's videos were 5+ minutes long
B: Because they spent most of the time talking about the rank of the class.

I think they blew their best shot in December 2012.

Talk to the athletics film guys they will say they had their workload decrease significantly after Chizik took over on evaluating prospects. People around the program said they legit just looked at stars by a kids name to save time

To be fair, I feel like that rumor comes out every time a coach is fired.

ESPN's making Gene talk about how good of a job Gus has done

ETA: That being said, Gene is all class and I wish things had worked out better for him

Nice vid of Gus and NSD.

I would say he has earned himself a good night's sleep tonight.

I really have been impressed with how well Gene has handled this. He is a class act and has earned even more respect from me today.

Gus never just sleeps, he dreams of offensive sets with 1 nostril open, sniffing for that first auto brewed pot of coffee.
