Harsin's former OC at Boise is on the staff as an analyst. I wonder if he will take over?

Eric Kiesau. I’d say that’s a strong guess

Harsin must be a real hard arse behind the scenes.

I think he's made it abundantly clear that if you don't do what's expected of you, or don't produce up to the standard he wants, you aren't gonna hang around the program very long.

I mean, he told a lot of talent/experience on the defensive front 7 alone to kick rocks in the spring and summer and didn't bat an eye.

It sucks and there will definitely be some growing pains to go along with it, but it's what has to be done with a complete culture shift and rebuild.

Guessing there’s bigger issues with that room than game performance. That’s the only way I think you could justify this move

Receivers aren’t getting separation, and their catching is inconsistent. It’s a good move, but only the start to fix our issues .

He has coached WR at nearly all of his stops.

I’ll give you credit but it was still a weird comparison given that 90%+ of the receptions left the squad But there’s no denying that, either way, they’ve sucked so far and I wonder if there’s more there than performance on the field? Certainly Harsin has other issues with that room that we haven’t heard about
No question Anthony, Seth, and Stove we're our top WRs, but Canion had flashes and a big end to the year, Capers got a lot of PT early in the year and looked solid until he got hurt. Shed wasn't forced into a role that doesn't really suit him.

I'm still very surprised and don't think it warranted a firing unless something else happened behind the scenes we don't know about. Our scheme hasn't exactly been helping the WRs get open.

Harsin must think our WRs have untapped talent. I am not so sure. I think it's a recruiting problem.

They aren't All-Americans, but they shouldn't be as bad as they've been.

He had a conduct issue at Troy early in his career.

Like the others suggested, it seems unlikely this is solely due to on the field stuff.

But honestly, all the coaches should be on notice if we keep playing like yesterday.

After yesterday. I'm surprised any assistants except special teams aren't on notice.

KN says it was 'football related', so it was not a personal off the field issue.

Sounds like WIlliams wasn't coaching these WRs right, and they may have not been prepared like Harsin needed them to be. Rumor is that WRs didn't know the playbook...

I remember Harsin said ealier that he was going to look into why the WRs are not producing...

He's not wrong, though. Unless there was behind the scenes stuff, this was a premature decision.

He's right again that winning will fix any worries we have, but if we start losing now, this moment will be mentioned by analysts, fair or not, as the beginning of the end of the season. Questions will start swirling around whether he's back to micromanaging, getting in the way of his coaches, etc.

Just saw Jboy's video. He is melting. But he admits he and Corn are friends and he's biased.
