Why not run the ball once to try to get a little closer and use Philly's final timeout? I'd like my chances of 3 plays from the 5 with two timeouts. The entire playbook would've been open.

He's been bad all season long. Calling plays that fail to get people open and poor scheming. The slant was the only good call and it needed to be on first down because Philly's DBs were playing back.

Exactly. Hell, on the two, put a jumbo package in and make them earn the paycheck. Why would you not run the ball at all inside the 5 yard line, when youve been running all game.

Totally disagree. First down should have been a run to force them to burn their time out. Let Tevin run the ball and he might have even scored. He was averaging 8 yards a carry.

I get not doing it on fourth down as it was a long two yards, and you have Julio Jones. The playcall was just asinine.
I just don't understand why you don't run the ball on first down.

Exactly. Even 2-3 yards there helps a lot, and sets you up where you could run the ball again.
At the very worst, you lose a yard or two and are basically in the same situation as you were on first down.

It's a terrible call because it cuts the field in half and Ryan is no threat to run because he may be the slowest QB in the NFL. He's never been any good on the rollout, unless he has a guy wide open.

I’ve defended sark all season but the play calling on that final drive was downright high school-ish.
