I am starting to feel more confident with this team. We are moving in the right direction at the right time.

Yea, we may lose in the playoffs but this team has started to achieve the goals they had in the offseason. The regular season sure wasn't pretty.

The regular season wasn't pretty and they still managed to win 10 games. One can say that they got lucky in several with the way things played out at the end of those games, but that's sports. I feel pretty good about the longterm position of the team, especially after losing the Super Bowl in gut wrenching fashion and managing to overcome the mythical "super bowl hangover" to get back to the Divisional round.

That's all anyone can really ask for, as we all well know that the playoffs can be a bit of a crapshoot compared to how the regular season plays out.

If we can foist Sark off on somebody and bring in a respected NFL OC then I'll feel fine about things going forward.

Our cap position, still growing potential all across the position groups, etc are still incredibly good. Quinn is a doofus on gameday but he clearly has evaluation and development skills.

The offense thing is just unacceptable and has to be fixed. Maybe it will be better in Year 2 (on a smaller scale of the Shanny Year 2), but it's frustrating watching such a talented unit be the group that holds this team down from elite to "scary if they get it going".

Current Saturday Forecast

High 50, Low 28. Rain moving out prior in the morning. Cold front moves in when the rain moves out. Kickoff should be in the 30's.

I still contend that this is not Sark's fault. As of a week ago, we led the league in drops. Recall Julio's drop in the 1st CAR game that would have won us the game.

Sark isn't dropping passes. Sark isn't overshooting passes like Matt Ryan was about 5 weeks ago.

I don't either. Drops and stupid penalties have been the staples of the team this year.

Dude, I feel bad for ATL sports fans. I was definitely pulling for bama but man, felt bad for UGA after that game.

However, I'm not sure UGA choked. Had they won that game, Bama would be the chokers. Dude missed an easy FG to start the game and then missed another easy shot that should've ended the game.
Tua came in and simply took that Trophy. It wasn't a UGA choke.

I know, I know. I'm generalizing. Did tech fans enjoy UGA losing last night? I can't imagine tech fans cheering for Bama though.

meh...i'm typically of the mindset that if my team can't get the job done, then i'm not going to celebrate someone else doing it.

i certainly didn't want to see them win a national championship, but i would have slept soundly regardless of the outcome. i didn't bother watching the game.

They had to. That's all they have. They will never even sniff the ACC championship, much less the playoffs. Hell, they've basically given up by signing Johnson and his Mickey Mouse offense for another two seasons. They man went 5-6 and gets an extension.

Latest weather report for tomorrow has the rain ending at 6am. It's supposed to be about 35 and sunny at kickoff, which is just fine for a January playoff game.

ETA: Looks like wind could come into play a bit but still the weather for this game could be a whole lot worse.

Lol...wut? Won it in 2009, played for it in 2014 losing to a playoff FSU team by one score. A win puts us at probably number 6 in the playoff rankings. Played for it in 2006 under Gailey. You can say what you want about our program, but to spew lies that are not backed by facts is fricking idiotic.
