Braves had room for Phillips not only cause they put Vizcaino on DL (stand in closer AJ Minter) they also DFA Gosselin.

Freddie came up big in the 1st, 2 nothing Braves, he got a hit after Ender and Ozzie got themselves in scoring position.

McCarthy gave up a homer in the third but Markakis answered with an RBI. 3 to 1 Braves.

I hope Acuna comes back tomorrow like that report on the game was hinting at the team that comes to town tomorrow gave up Acuna's first homer.

Swanson pinch hit for an homer in the 8th. 7 to 3. Way to take the pressure off Minter in the 9th.

Braves won 7 to 3, great pitching by the bullpen, shut them out after McCarthy.... Biddle, Carle, Winkler and Minter.

Me too, I hope he will be one of the Carle/Biddle/Minter/Winkler/Vizcaino relievers not the Moylan/Freeman types.... and maybe he can be one of the long relievers too like Biddle. Too bad they couldn't put that new pitcher in today, maybe against the Reds?

We REALLY need to sweep the reds here. They're in last place in their division with a 32-45 record.
With our bad 1-2 weeks here we're now only 2.5 up on the Phillies and 3 up on the Nats. We REALLLLLLLLY gotta distance ourselves before ASG.
Cause then we go:
@ STL (tough on road, lose 2 outta 3?)
@ NYY (probably lose 2 outta 3?)
@ MIL (tough on road, lose 2 outta 3?)
VS TOR (winnable but only 2 games)
VS ARI (tough but at home, winnable)
This next stretch after CIN is gonna be BRUTAL.
