I couldn’t agree more. This team has greatly exceeded expectations so I’m giddy. I’m also very pumped for Freddie freeman. He’s been a team friendly cap hit casualty unlike Julio.

Let’s. Go. Braves!!!

We've been aggressive on the bases all season and it has worked for the most part.

On that play, he was dead meat. But I can't complain about a culture that is working. We have to be us and win the ones that we can that way.

Lineup for tonight, Culberson and Johan have the 'day off' and Tucker has gone off to greener (maybe) AAA pastures. They called up Sims the pitcher don't get your Acuna hopes up yet... Sims is just in ATL til Ronald gets ready whenever that is (I just know it's up to the coach not him or he'd have never left)

Off to a great start pitching wise Julio allowed a 1st inning grand slam with no outs.

Yea, this is frustrating. This is a 22 win team in Baltimore. We should be taking 2-of3 from them, minimal. This is the “easy” part of our schedule so we really need to take advantage.

I’m a huge hole already between last night and today. Cmon Braves!!!

The Braves batters are trying to get back in the game though, too bad they might have to struggle to keep pace with the Orioles' runs. Ender and Albies got hits with no outs, come on Freddie, Nick and Kurt!

edit: Freddie struck out, but Nick got a run in! Nice job Markakis! (I vote for him everyday btw)

Julio made it to the 5th without getting in baserunner trouble again. He's only up in the 70's pitchwise but wonder if they are thinking about a reliever yet?

edit, yep the bases loaded again with no outs finally gets the bullpen stirring.

They waited until Julio gave up 7 to take him out and put in Luke Jackson because I guess it looked like he was getting himself out of the inning but he didn't. And the inning still isn't over even though it should be because the ump got in the way of Flaherty trying to tag out an inadvisable advancing oriole.

7 to 5 in the 8th Braves scored on a wild pick off attempt when the pitcher was scared of Ozzie's running I guess.

Braves lost by that same score, if only Julio hadn't given up all those runs, the bullpen played surprisingly well, and the Braves tried to come back like usual but it was too much for them to do against the same pitcher that was easy to score on yesterday but tough today.

The Braves are finally trying out another MLB debut pitcher from the minors, Evan Phillips:
