Florida improved to 3-0 on Saturday night with a 44-39 victory over Auburn at Jordan-Hare Stadium, giving first-year head coach Jon Sumrall his first SEC win.

Running back Jadan Baugh led the way for the Gators, rushing for 162 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries. Quarterback Aaron Philo completed 15 of 22 passes for 204 yards and a touchdown to Dallas Wilson.

Florida built a nine-point lead late in the fourth quarter and converted a crucial fourth-and-5 with just over four minutes remaining to help seal the victory.

Auburn scored a late touchdown to cut the deficit to five, but Florida held on for its first road victory over the Tigers since 2001.

The Gators improved to 3-0, while Auburn dropped to 2-1.
