I have heard Garland will be playing next season and it's not a question anymore so idk about that one. (recent info too)

Same.... Was told he was cleared, or would be soon and no need to waste his abilities on this season since he couldn't train with the others as hard.

Garland playing would be huge, last I heard they weren’t pleased with how the meds were getting along with him. Would be tragic for something happen to him while playing.

IDK what will happen, just the rumor from a friend here in Fayetteville....

Something about, the real danger with him is minimal either way at this time.

Mike doesn't give a shite about rebounding, "we gonna pick em up off da bus"

Mike doesn't give a shite about recruiting the 4 position. "we gonna wear em down late in the game"

We have one super undersized guard that is slow and heavy footed.

We have two others that have high level athletic ability that play selfish, undisciplined defense.

Leads to disaster against any team with talent. Super easy to move the ball around on us.

Also, this team is not built For pressing.

Our guards are getting beat off the first dribble too fast.

No Bailey playing.

Macon is the only guard with elite quickness/speed.

Barford really isn't THAT athletic. He gets beat pretty easily by most of the guards in this league.

Macon has the gifted ability, he's just not that good of a defender technique wise.

Can't afford to have 3 guards, all of which aren't great/smart defenders.

I think the all out pressing and trapping style that was a success for us back in the good ole days is only going to be effective today in short spurts.

The way the game is played has changed too much with how refs call the games to really bury a good team with that style of defense. It can still be effective when the refs swallow the whistle a little bit and let teams play but isn't a guarantee even in the NCAAT.

It all depends on players.

Louisville and WV run a similar swarming defense, but they get better basketball players right now.

There are coaching things that Mike could improve on for sure, but more than anything, we need to improve our recruiting even more than he's already done.

Mike has always confused effort with fundamentals. "If you play hard enough nothing else matters"
problem is they lack the ability to center up the offensive player and defend the rim.
Help defense is coming late and with little rhyme or reason. Nolan's press had a purpose. they set traps, they defended the ball. They protected the lane.
We do none of the 3
