What’s your numerical value of sadness towards sports now?

I’m gonna say 8.5 for me. March Madness is magical - I feel like Christmas got cancelled. And baseball is fun too and I know some of y’all probably feel that way about it (magical, Christmas got cancelled...).

Here’s my current state

I feel bad for the athletes but it doesn't really impact my life as a fan at all. We always complain about having better shite to do than watch the Hogs lose or be mediocre at something, time to do that better shite.

Spring is here; go outside. The gubment ain't told us to stay home, yet. And when it does, frick em, cause merica! Right? Plus I'm under 50 and both of my parents are already dead so I have no reason to obey.

I’m under 50 but my mom is still alive so I do have to be somewhat whatever cautious even tho I don’t know how to really do that without shutting myself out which I’m pretty much incapable of. I told her last night I may have to start leaving her groceries on the porch and she can meet me by the door and we both touch the window pane at the same time on opposite sides- as in one of those prison visits scenes from a tv show. She didn’t know what the hell I was talking about. And speaking of my hands, they have already aged 10 years this week with all the hand sanitizer.

I’ll get over it for sure and I know in the scheme of things it’s not important but we’ll get no crazy upsets and Cinderella teams and basketball games galore at one time. Sigh...

7. The fact that all sports, college and professional are cancelled is rough, but I can live without them for a month or two. I will feel a lot worse if the olympics are cancelled tho.

0.5-1.0

Not upset about it at all. It's trying to help a much larger problem. Same with changing my personal behaviors. I choose to doy part, and that includes parting with sports for a while.

Of course it helps that almost all major Arkansas sports have sucked arse. B-ball is looking up, baseball is underperforming, and to hell with football. Don't give a dn about pro sports..... So I guess I'm mostly checked out already. LOL

Probably 4/10. While I love March Madness, unless the Hogs are playing I'm not overly emotionally invested in it. I'll just miss filling out a bracket and drunkenly yelling at my TV as it falls apart.

I'm actually glad Razorback baseball lost those early games because this would be a much tougher pill to swallow if we had been as dominant as we thought up to this point. The 4 basically comes from the reality that we probably saw several of those dudes in an Arkansas uniform for the last time.

4. If this blows up in the next few weeks, sports won’t matter much. If it’s an overreaction we’ll be back to normal in a month.

I had season tickets to baseball so that sucks but we hadn't exactly looked great to start the year. If we were like 14-0 then I would have probably been more upset. Only thing that bothers me is not getting to see the juniors in a Hog uni ever again since they'll be drafted. But if this happened during football season then I feel like it would suck worse. At least they're giving refunds. Plus we could be a team like Dayton in basketball who had their best season ever and nothing to show for it.

Life may be boring for a while but there are bigger things than sports. Even concerts and other events that people were looking forward to have been canceled. But you gotta do what you gotta do.

The way Arkansas sports have been lately, I have picked up a couple of new hobbies the last 2 or 3 years, woodworking and carpentry, started rebuilding my engine on my 69 Trans Am using Youtube videos, and depending on my mood I do some archery.

Yesterday 10.8, I was ready to drive to Mark Emmerts office and donkey punch him in the nuts.

Today 10.8 because as a society we are so sue happy, even if we are at fault, we sue and disregard personal responsibility and that led to me missing my most favorite time of the sports year.

10/10. I’m devastated. I look forward to March Madness more than anything else every year. And this was going to be my first trip to the Final 4 :(

This will be the first year I've not filled out a bracket since the tourney stated.

I used to have the newspaper bracket ready and filled in the teams as they announced them.

But we were a tourney team then so it don't hit so hard now.But I enjoy watching and pulling for the underdogs against the Dukes of the basketball world. The tourney is great viewing.

I hate it for our women's team though. And our baseball team.

I finally have a avenue to follow baseball, then this.

I'm completely bummed out about this.

100/10...I'm extremely unhappy.

it was 9/10... but after a few days of understanding and studying what is happening in Italy... 4/10.

Sports is a great pastime for me, and I blow a bunch of money on it... but now, I will save for the zombie apocalypse instead.

I still haven't processed it. I think I'm still in the state of denial. Like... I don't know what I'm gonna do with myself for the next few months. At least 75% of my leisure activity is sports related. Almost all of the podcasts I listen to (during work) are sports based. I guess I'll just end up playing like 4-6 hours of Modern Warfare every day?

I'm still more confused than sad.

After the last few years of fat Bert, Chaggie and Mike I've figured out traveling, fishing and hunting have become more important than sports.

I will miss Hog baseball and OmaHog, although this season appeared to be a year of suckage.
