Well, I'm finishing my eighth year of undergrad level courses, but I wouldn't call it my career.

I'm always interested in creative things people are doing and lending a hand where I can. There are some really tremendous shorts and short doc's that tell fabulous stories or give great insight to a particular sliver of our culture, past, etc.

That was a really long time to be broke, but it was worth it.

I know. I'm ready to work again (still got two semesters left for the degree I'm currently pursuing ). I can't complain too much, though - I've never had to pay to attend.

Same here. I can honestly say that I don't think school helped me in my field one bit.
You're either someone that can make things happen...or you're not when it comes to what I do. Nearly 10 years of experience is what has done it for me.
That being said....some days I would love to go back to that life. Hind sight has taught me it was so much easier back then.
