Yes but Grant is better than pool because you miss his higher football intelligence and a team leader on defense. Losing Hayden didn't help.

Grant was great but we’re talking about how much we’re suffering from losing two guys that came to school as walk ons. That’s what is disheartening. I wish we could expect more.

Are you a Vandy grad? I've always wondered how someone becomes a fan of Vandy, unless you graduated from there.

Then fire Sam and surely someone better will take this job like the last coaching search.

Never said that, but Jamie Chadwell isn’t looking bad right now.

Yes. The only way to become a Vandy fan is to go there or have a parent who went there.

Respectable being getting blown off the field in Starkville?

ETA: Remember Bert had to pick up the pieces after Happy the Clown too

Win 9 games for one. The A&M game everyone of us loves to whine and moan about(for good reason) was like every other week with Bret.

Has the coaching staff performance the last 2 weeks been a lot better than it was against A&M? Or Missouri State for that matter?

Yes, after one bad year whereas Pittman took over a team that was a laughing stock for years.

I'm not making excuses for this year because there are none and something does need to change. I don't think that change is getting rid of Sam, at this point, though. I do believe he is going to have to make some really tough decisions if he wants to improve.

I like his offense. I would be in favor of hiring someone from his offensive staff or having a meeting of the minds to pick his brain.

Figured as much. Your people make good bosses, doctors, and lawyers.

Then that coach will still inherit the same problems.

It isn't always the x's and o's but Jimmies and Joes.

Linebacker is very thin now and last year had the most depth at that position in years. With those departures, Sam didn't trust that the inexperienced linebackers should start and thus they had to go to the portal.

I have said that a million and one times, but it’s no coaches fault.

I say we start pushing out anyone who isn’t a relentless recruiter. And pay them accordingly. Can’t their be bonuses given to those who land 4 stars? 10k bonus? 25k for a 5 star?
