Some of of us are old enough to remember Hal at Kentucky.

In an SEC East that was up, but no where near the level to West is currently.

Houston Nutt had more success in the SEC at the time...

I guarantee he would win a game or two more than Bert can with the exact Sam roster.

I mean you can say that but I doubt it. None of us really know though. Either way I still think he is a good coach.

Undefeated in the Pac 12 is a bad argument. It's fighting the Big 12 for worst Power 5 conference.

And he's doing in with Washington fricking state that's like going undefeated through the big 12 with Kansas it's still a pretty big accomplishment

They have beaten:

Oregon: 3-5
Stanford: 5-3
UCLA: 3-5
ASU: 5-4
OSU: 2-6

This list isn't impressive. They have played some of the worst teams in the conference. If he is able to pull an upset over Washington than I think you have a great point or even if they beat Colorado. They also just had to come from behind to beat that 2-6 Oregon St team by 4. He has done a solid job the last two years but slow your roll.

Mike Price won the Pac10 twice at WSU. We know where his career went.

Leach isn't exactly scandal free and his best team ever played an average Houston Nutt and Ole Miss and got destroyed in the cotton bowl.

That Ole miss team won 11 games correct? And if you are in Craig James corner than you can gfy. And while he was at Texas Tech he never missed a bowl game and never had few than 8 wins after his first 2 seasons. His last 3 years he went 9-4 11-2 9-4 and that was when the big 12 was much better. He did this at Texas tech. Let that sink in. You can not like his offense and think he's weird but the guy gets results.

That same Ole Miss team that walked right into the swamp and beat the eventual champ Florida Gators?

Your correct they only won 9 games, but although they lost to south Carolina vandy and wake forest they also beat a Tim Tebow lead Florida in the swamp and lsu. Say what you want but we all know Nutt was good at getting a team ready against big time competition so a 13 point loss to them in a bowl game wasn't that bad. Don't use that as to why he isnt a good coach. Again I can live with people who don't like the system and even the people who think he's weird (although that's silly) but for those who say he doesn't win well that's just not true.

much of this is based on opinion...

I simply do not believe he would win here, he doesn't recruit well with his quirky personality and against the SEC defenses, I don't think he would be successful.

But, either way. There Is no way in the world Jeff Long would hire him. Think about that for a bit.

I don't see it happening. Honestly... Do you?

ohhh, and CBB isn't going anywhere for a while. BUYOUT!!!
