I know a lot of us have resined to this season being over with Joe's injury, but it's not! We are still 48 in the NET as of today, and tonight we get to play Florida who is 35. This is a big, big game today. We're 6th in the SEC in terms of NET. Florida is 4th. We are just on the bubble right now, and can still make the tournament. This game is really gonna make us or break us tho. Win today, and we're on the inside track. Lose today, and we probably need to win out. No matter what, I'm proud of this team, but let's get a little excited, and have some hope!! Who thought we'd be playing for a tourney spot right now in October?!?!

That would amazing if he could be. We can't afford to drop another game if we lose today.

I think we would still need at least one win in the SEC tournament. 22 wins still looks like the safe number.

I agree. I think even if we win today we'll probably drop one and that means getting a win in the SEC tournament to be safe. Tbh tho our OOC is really saving our arse. We need a couple of them to win their conference tourney, which several of them are #1 or #2 in conference so it hopefully shouldn't be too hard to get at least 2 to win their conference that will help us tremendously.

Isn't he risking injury again and a shot at the NBA?

Joe doesn’t need to play until next season, this season is over.

If Joe just has his knee scoped and cleaned up there is no risk. I was back playing softball after 4 weeks when I had mine done. If he’s back this quickly odds are he didn’t have major surgery.

True. Doesnt really matter if Joe comes back or not, he likely wont be at 100%, and regardless he is not going to be in basketball shape and will have also likely lost his shot.

The only chance we have to make the NCAA is to make a deep run in the SECT, otherwise we are set for the NIT.

Im still impressed with the way Muss has this team playing as depleted as this roster has been

If Joe comes back and can actually play I think there's a decent chance of that. Toughest team left is LSU and it's at home. If they could win 4 of the last 5 and win a game in the tournament, I bet we would get in with 21 wins.

Idk I think we have to win out. At the minimum have to beat LSU. That is a must win. As is Georgia and A&M on the road. We cannot take a quad 3 loss. I really think we need to beat Mizzou too. The only loseable game left IMO is vs Tennessee and then I'd wanna pick up two SEC tournament wins to feel comfortable. It's really competitive on the bubble this year.

Also completley agree with that. Just his presence alone on the court would help this team's spacing tremendously.

I'm not so sure on that. I think 4 of 5 would be enough. The bubble is garbage this year.

not trying to rain on a parade here... but I just don't see it.

I am far from off the Muss Bus, but the bus has a couple of flat tires and has simply run out of gas. Needs aired up and refueled before I get truly excited again. It is coming however.

To think Joe would be ready to step in and be as profitable as he was prior to injury??? IDK man. We are so thin as a team.

I don't think we win 4 of the next 5, but I think if we did, we'd be dancing.

Doesn’t the committee take injuries into consideration? Yea we’ve lost but only been blown out once since Joe’s injury. Think 21 wins should be safe but would obviously feel better with 22.

I completely understand the trepidation but, Mizzou, Tennesse, & Georgia are highly winnable games even without Joe. I understand Tennessee beat the breaks off us the other day, but we literaly could not have played any worse than we did that day. Should be highly competitive. I think we could very much win these next 5 games. We just have to play up to our potential. Just having Joe back out on the floor in any capacity should let Mason, Desi, & Jimmy to get more spacing and go to work better. Not saying at all it's going to happen but it's a real possibility. Also, no one should even be thinking of getting off the Muss Buss. If this team wasn't so well coached we'd be 10-16 not 16-10.
