I'd rather make less money and get to experience wins, and possibly even a conference championship, but some of you are fine with being the new Vandy.
Hell, lets just go play a bunch of kindergarden kids then.
Oh, and here's a news flash. Due to lack of talent, lack of actual coaching in basketball, and players that didn't seem to think they needed to earn it (just like you apparently), they would have gotten their asses handed to them in the Texas Kneepad League as well. Both football and basketball.
SMH!

I'm talking about joining another Power 5 conference. Some of you just can't help but make this ridiculous leap though.

You certainly know all about ridiculous leaps.
And of course your response was just a distraction, because there was no way you could dispute the point they would have gotten their asses handed to them anyway.

If you are being honest, you know this will never happen

Depends on the administration. Right now they're only focused on enriching themselves. We may get an administration in the future that actually cares about winning and keeping fans. Currently they're content with hemorrhaging fans as long as we get a cut of everyone else's bowl money.

Eh, this will always be the goal in general. The only way its going to happen is if the Big 12 came after us hard and was adding some other big pieces to their conference. It is always going to be about the money.

That's fine, but they shouldn't expect fans to continue to be invested if winning isn't the top priority

But fans will always get back to being invested at some point when there is even the smallest hope of something good coming around. They will just keep firing old coaches and hiring new coaches. Fans will get excited again, that we might be good and that cycle will continue forever.

When I was younger I always wondered why my parents didn't seem to get as excited about Arkansas sports as I did (especially football)
Now I get it

That didn't even happen with Chad. We had a new coach and a brand new stadium renovation and it was half empty all year.

64000 is half full? It was around that number for every game but Vandy and Mizzou which we know why that is also going to bring low numbers besides the fact we were terrible.
Regardless, I never said anything about selling out games in year 1 of a coach. Did Bert have good home numbers his first year? Bert got the fan base on his side after that Texas bowl win and that is what I'm talking about when I say "when there is even the smallest hope of something good coming around".
Chad will either have a moment like this and you will see home attendance go up or he will be fired.

That's paid attendance, not actual.

That is part of my whole point though. They care about money more than anything else.

Season ticket sales are down 38% at the moment.
Chard best win 6 games this year or ticket sales will fall next year.

That's you.
That's you.
Grow a pair. We've won the West one less time than LSU in football since we joined.

You know what happens if we move to the Big 12? We go from complaining about not being able to beat Bama and Georgia to complaining about not being able to get past OU and Texas and you'll be back here complaining wanting us to join the fricking Sun Belt so we win more. Arkansas has done just fine in the SEC and would be absolutely insane to leave. There's more to athletics than football. You're also ridiculously short-sighted if you think the football program is just going to stay in this state. We've competed before, we will again. No need to go batshit crazy coming off one of the worst coaches in history into a transition period. You don't frick over the entire athletic department because you want to play an easier football schedule and the fact that you seriously want to speaks volumes.

You know this is wrong, right? You said the same thing last time and got debunked. We've won the division or a share 4 times since we joined, LSU has won it 8 times. They've also been conference champs 4 times since we joined, compared to our 0. I'm not sure why you continue to make this comparison.

LSU has won it 8 times
quote:Because it's stupid to act like we haven't been competitive at all just because we've been up and down. It puts things in perspective. You act like we've been Ole Miss or State just sitting at the bottom every year getting completely outclassed. We have double their divisional titles combined.
I'm not sure why you continue to make this comparison.

And how many times has Arkansas won it outright?

Four conference championships to zero, yeah you're right it really puts things in perspective.
