A handycapper from Arkansas with his knowledge of the interworkings of our football program.

Pittman is out at the end of the season, fights between coaches, etc.

Am I the only one who likes the idea of Petrino and Williams setting the example of how to care and how you should be ready to fight? As long as they aren’t purposely sabotaging each other and it’s more just pure competitiveness.

Agreed. This thing may be about to further implode but 2 coaches wanting to fight during practice… that by itself doesn’t seem like a big deal. Least we have some people out there with some fight and take it personal.

Reports from the scrimmage said the offense dominated. I’m guessing TW took it personal and wanted the D to bring more intensity. The media and podcast guys act like they’ve never been in a football program or forgot what it’s like.

Sorry about. That I know I give you a lot of shite but I hope you get better ole man

If Pittman really wanted to retire but his agent wouldn’t let him and Hunter just said, “ok” Hunter needs to be gone yesterday. If a coach tells you he doesn’t want to do it anymore you find a way to get him out.

To answer you specifically, I’m highly skeptical of all of that information. Not saying he’s not connected, but:

- The concept that Pittman’s agent deterred him or said he couldn’t retire is ridiculous. He may have advised his based on the contract, but the notion that Pittman wanted to retire and his agent said “no” is asinine. I’ve never once seen that in my entire life outside of prima donna celebrities being forced to complete their contracts

- As others have said, two coaches having fire and wanting to fight in practice is not a bad thing. Coaches giving up and looking for jobs (John L Smith year) is

- So either the the information he’s getting is construed the incorrect way, he’s interpreting the wrong way, or something. But that entire portion was head scratching to say the least, I’m highly skeptical

- We may go 2-10 this year, but it’s not going to be because Travis and Bobby gave a frick about practice or that Pittman is a puppet for his agent

Lay off the Bacon Rev!!

On a more serious note, praying that ticker gets kicking right again. I might suggest skipping the football season this year to help things heal up.

This is the kind of drama and shiny objects we need in place of no one having a clue who's actually on our team besides Green and Washington.

Let alone how anyone is actually performing.

I'm no insider but I do know a couple of people. Bobby and T-Will jawing at practice is real, but they were cool afterwards. That's football. You can fight in practice and then have a beer together afterwards. I'm glad that not just players, but coaches are competing in practice. It may all fall apart but everyone is competing, even coaches.

Pittman can retire at any point but he’s not owed anything. He implied that it was a negotiated retirement. In other words HY wanted Pittman gone but at a discount. The agent is owed a percentage of pittmans compensation and might have had some say. Sexton could have been owed several 100k.

It would not surprise me at all if sexton outmaneuvered HY once again.

I audibly laughed out loud, and then thought... "What in the actual frick?"

Found it disconcerting once again!

TY, it's been a rough summer. Trying to get my BP to regulate a bit, get some strenth back, stamina back, etc. Needing to get back to work soon.

I love the Razorbacks, and enjoy this board. WPS!

Thanks, I enjoy our back and fotch overall. There is nothing more that I would enjoy than seeing our Hogs get back to some relevance, and even more. I've just lived long enough to believe it will never happen in Football. Hope I am wrong!
