It's hard for me to believe that Bielema left Arkansas in such bad condition that they have only won one game. Looking back at the beginning of this year, I don't feel like the team was that well prepared to start this season. It seems they were fighting a lot of indecision couldn't make their minds up about who the quarterback was going to be and I don't really think that has been settled yet. In spite of what "Put the Hammer Down" Morris says, the team still doesn't look like they have made a lot of progress. Speaking of that, how long does it look like we are going to wait for a winner?

Going 4-8 (1-7) in year 5 definitely shows that Bert had laid a solid foundation and was absolutely heading in the right direction.

Bielema would have been fine if he put more effort in. His coordinator hires were meh besides Enos and Pittman. And his recruiting was garbage after the first class.

I really wished it would have work out, but you have to be a driven coach to get the job done here. Not a chill laid back one.

the coaches should shoulder the blame for several of those losses. our talent isn't completely nonexistent. we weren't ready for prime time when the season started.

Bielema failed at building a culture within our program. Morris is heavily focused on that.

The hire that doomed us and Bielema was Anderson.

He hires any semi-competent offensive line coach and he does better or at least has us in a better shape for Morris to take over.

ya beat me to it....

And to the OP, are you for real? Really? It is very hard for me to believe that any non casual fan of Razorback Football cant see how terrible of a position in recruiting his last year, his hiring of a Oline coach, his laziness, his gaining 150 lbs, his inability to change. I loved the dude to begin, but dang!

We haven’t made progress? Holy shite, that is possibly one of the dumbest statements made on this board.

It took 5 games for Chad to run a play from under center after inheriting a roster that ran plays primarily from under center.

You can make the argument that the roster isn't so bad that it should be losing to Colorado State and blown our by North Texas State.

You can't make the argument that the SEC schedule thus far has gone anyway but the recent norm for the program.

The team has made progress in the things Chad is requiring them to do on the field. They have progressed enough to where the CSU and NTSU games will prevent them from making the Birmingham bowl.

You can also make an argument that no D1 program worth a damn wanted FatBert after he was exposed for the utter fraud he's proven to be while at Arkansas.

No football-minded AD to hold his hand? Then no success for Bert.

If I had a buyout like Bert's, I wouldn't be in a hurry to find work to lose that guaranteed money.

Blame the BOT, they approved his contract.

Were you this salty when Nolan was getting his arse kicked with Eddie’s players. Did you want him to run Eddie’s system since that’s what the players were recruited for?
