I've said it before and I'll say it again — the college football world will stop treating us like a small time program the minute we stop acting like a small time program.

It’s absolute horse hockey to ever play a game in that stadium again.
You’ve gotta really feel for the kids from WCU too. They were probably all excited about playing an SEC team, and then they walked into WMS and probably thought, wtf.
44k showed up for a season opener that would’ve drawn 65-70k in NWA. The UA would collect on all concessions and also had plenty of water available.

There are plenty of old stadiums out there that have been brought up to modern standards. It can be done. The problem with WMS is that it hasn't been done. If anything the stadium hasn't even been maintained to the level it was 20 or 30 years ago. I love the old girl as much as anyone but its time to put her out of her misery.

I'd much rather make the drive to NWA. Much nicer and more to do. I have many great memories with my dad and my grandpa at WMS and it saddens me that I won't with my grandson because I'll never step foot in that shithole again. Damn sure wouldn't take him there and ruin his first football experience. Time to move on. All things must come to an end.
