What looked like an absolutely disastrous transfer portal for Arkansas seems to have turned around.

The Pittboss and staff seem to be on top of stuff. It is still a weird and changing football world we live in but, as of right now, we aren't sucking hind tit.

LSU at #1 in portal rankings?

Gonna need someone to break that one down for me.

They've taken 9 commits from the portal. Quantity.

So what would be the ideal ending of our portal transfers this year? I sat one more DT, one DB and a pass rusher or tight end.

I think thats what the staff wants, a noseguard type, a nickelback, and then probably just best player available

I can believe the coach thought this video would be cool but I still cannot fathom how a 18-22 year old would sign up got this cringe arse concept. Everyone but LSU fans universally shat all over that on twitter when it happened.

Maybe it's me, but I prefer quality over quantity.

Losing Eli Ricks and Dwight McGlothern to division rivals and replacing them with Foucha, Brooks, and a ULL safety isn't exactly a net positive.

This is worse than Chaggie cringe videos.

I’d love either the Miami DT or the Auburn freshman DT. Aren’t really any others that stand out.

DBs our first choice has to be Brini from UGA right now. I wonder if they’d settle for BJ Foster if we strike out despite his questionable attitude issues. Would be a big talent upgrade over Blair.

Otherwise I’d just save the rest and see what happens later.

Someone on 247 was saying that we’ll get Brini. Hopefully he’s not FOS because that’d be a nice haul.

A few days back, I mentioned that Hornsby is likely staying because he found out for sure that Briles is staying as well...

A fairly nice raise to boot.

and now this, LINK

I have been told that for sure Briles is staying...

Barring a really good job opens in Texas I think Briles would be best suited to stay at Arkansas for right now. His offense really turned heads this season and if that continues he's going to be on a lot of folk's radar for a HC gig.

Going to some place like Miami would be extremely risky as an OC. Its been the graveyard of coaches lately. Go there and spend a few years under yet another failing Miami regime and he'd have to start the process of working his way up to a head coaching spot all over again.

Rumor is a raise for Briles to 1.3 -1.4 million per year.

Keeping Briles is huge. If Hasselwood can step in and go, our offense could be the best in the league next year.

That’s a bold statement considering alabama is bringing back the heisman trophy winner

But losing Williams, Metchie, Bolden and Robinson. I know they always reload but that’s a pretty huge hit.

Also, KJ wins the Heisman next year going away.
