You think Bama players would be jumping around and going crazy after beating a 1-7 sunbelt team by 1 point? You think Saban would be positive in the press conference after it?

We ain't Bama. Shitty wins are all we got right now.

I know that wasn't meant for me... But .. No I don't, but these guys need something, anything to have some joy at this point. Their coaching staff is dead in the water sometime in the next season or 2.. they know this. I honestly would expect them to show some joy, after another crappy season with each win.

Don't get me wrong, i'm glad the players did not quit. They should have never been put in that position from a shitty coach and shitty gameplan. They deserve better.

Well the good news is that the fan was going wild in the stands when we won. I tip my hat to him

Nick saban
Bill belichick

These two destroy your argument. They also have something else in common...

Here Here, If some fans get excited with a win over a shitty Ole Miss and Coastal team, they should question their own fandom.

There we go... I knew it was coming for somebody.

My Lord man, get a grip. Nobody in their right mind is happy with this season, but some have a different perspective about things.

I much prefer this over the opposite result for our team. Where some of our board were praying for a loss, I cant and am happy that these boys have something to cheer about for but a few mins.

I pay my donations, get season tickets, belong to the foundation and local razorback clubs, have hosted golf tournaments and fund raising dinners/lunches. But go ahead and question my fandom...

I never pray for a loss, I honestly feel bad over the position they are put in by the head coach, it's not fair to them. I should have not said question their fandom, that was my mistake.

Has it ever occurred to you and others that the players came to Arkansas to play for this staff?

Its as if most think that when the fanbase grows tired of the coach, the players feel the exact same way. Its as if they think Bert's greatest task at his job day in and day out is to stave off the mutiny on his hands with his team...

It is year number five, and there is no improvement in any phase of the game, that is on Bret.

Yes, kids in Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia, Minnesota, Florida, Texas, etc grow up dreaming of one day playing for the Hogs, the personal relationships with position coaches and the HC during the recruiting process have not effect on their decision of where to attend college.

That has absolutely nothing to do with what I said, I must of confused you into thinking I actually care why you want Bert fired, let me clear that up, I don't.

Let me ask you this then, why do you want him to stay?

Where did I say I did?

The "players deserve better" line has no weight until the team actually quits on a staff, in this case they have shown they like the staff and want it to stay in place by back to back 4th quarter come from behind wins.

They have 3 more opportunities to show the world how much they believe in their coaches this season.

If they beleive in this coach, then they should like going 4-8 5-7 from now on.

Maybe, but statistically it means they should like going to a bowl games 75% of the time which means they would win 6 or more games.

So you're ok with with terrible football as long as they make a bowl game?

I'm saying they will win 6+ games more often than 4-5 wins a season, thus 4-8, 5-7 is not the norm like you stated.

Sure it does.

Just because a bunch of college-kids like Bert as their leader doesn't mean it's anything other than a disaster.

Maybe you still rationalize JLS because the players 'believed' in him too.

His staff didn't believe in them, they were more concerned with lining up jobs the following season than focusing on the job at hand.

... and that was surprising? They knew what a whack-job their boss was... lining up the next year's job started early.

Doesn't change the point - the players 'believed' in JLS, just like you're trying to imply with Bert.
