They fricked that up royally IN RETROSPECT.
They're human and make mistakes but they're not the successful businessman they are by not learning and getting it right. I'll wait and see

Stupid they are not. Petty, childish and controlling they are. People with their money are used to getting their way and not having someone beneath them disagree with them, much less to them to piss off. They give zero shits about the program. It's a toy for them.
When do the new rules about paying players begin? What's to stop groups of fans from forming syndicates kinda like horseracing to buy players and coaches. Individually these people have great wealth and influence. It could be a game changer. In theory, fans could draft their own fantasy teams and no single person would have overpowering power or influence. We don't have a pro team to waste money and time on and donations to the school aren't tax deductible, but forming an LLC and having a player/coach advertise for you is.

They are. They fired an AD and hired a coach before hiring the new AD and letting him get his own guy. Do not underestimate the stupidity of the Arkansas PTB.
So why did they allow Hunter to fire a legendary Arkansas assistant basketball coach in his first year?

Why the frick would they use the University they invest MILLIONS in as a toy? Come on, guys

This. Not even the casual fans were ready to let Mike go yet.

Not if he goes public with the process and what he tried and could've done without interference. He'd be safe if he resigned. He'll find work. Wouldn't blame him for not wanting to take the blame for someone else's bullshite.
Someone is going to have to sooner or later.

Can we please get to Sunday? People are losing their minds.

Bosses don’t like loose cannons. He’d never work again.

Stop. This doesn't happen. Ever.
Seems they got it right with HY too. Who hired him?

I just don't think the BOT is as stupid and controlling as all those "insiders" are making this out to be.
They are worse.
People like to think Long got fired because of Bielema. Truth is he got fired for alienating the GOBN and by pissing off the BOT. He took away some of their parking spots. He didn’t give them clout when it came to coaching hires. He made a presentation presenting the financial realities of playing in WMS. All of those things added up to him being fired. Bielema going 4-8 was the out they needed.
Yurachek is catching the same shite right now. There is a donor who has been pissed at him because he didn’t get great seats at the CWS. There is another donor who is vocal about wanting only Arkansans in the athletic department.
The rest of college football focuses on winning while we focus on unity and not hurting some old grandpas feelings.

Ummmm, because they have $BILLIONS. They don't even get a tax deduction anymore. Maybe they're trying to make an excuse to quit donating now that they aren't giving at a discount? It's a pissing contest amongst Billionaires. Millions don't mean shite. Jerry did it to the Cowboys. His ego couldn't bear Jimmy Johnson getting the credit. It's his toy and he'll break it if he wants to. Whether it's the Hogs or Cowboys, he wants a yes man that'll dance when he sings. Same with the others.

Billionaires don't become billionaires not caring about losing some millions here and there.
I think you underestimate their love for the University as well.

Cause he didn't have anything to do with the '64 NC Football team.

They're not, their control over the situation and hire is largely overblown on messageboards and rumors - especially now that HY is the AD. They can voice their displeasure or suggest coaches to HY all day, but in the end they can't directly approve or reject a coach that HY wants.
Even that being so, I haven't heard much about them throwing fits or voicing displeasure from actual people who would know. They may gossip to their buddies about not wanting so-and-so, but they aren't giving HY a hard time it appears.
I don't think it's time to worry yet, even if Kiffin isn't the man we have other decent options before resorting to Lunney. We're in good hands everybody, just try to be patient and let it come out. HY is no fool, he knows how monumental this is.

Cause he didn't have anything to do with Football
For some unknown reason the state of Arkansas thinks it’s a football state despite churning out great basketball and baseball talent and almost ZERO football talent. The boosters fall into this trap as well
Think about it. What are the most successful programs on the hill? The ones that are least cared about by our fans. Track, baseball, softball, soccer. Baseball draws fans every now and then but the GOBN don’t give a shite.
