I have a quick tangent/question. I didn't get to see the tripping call all that well. At first it looked like we just fell down and our legs came up. Did we actually try to pull a skipper or was it just a slip and fall type deal?

There’s clearly a contingent willing to debunk any discontent with losing in this fashion - likely because they themselves have never felt what it’s like to win.

This isn't the NFL where kickers are a dime a dozen. At some point you have to trust your players to go execute with the game on the line, and to be completely fair there was nothing wrong with the hold or kick. It just got blocked. shite happens.
But now we get these self-enlightened football gurus using results-based analysis to justify garbage takes.
My whole point is there are a million things to complain about this game before you even approach that call.

If you look at the replay of third down, I think we might have gotten lucky that they didn't call a fumble on Smith. LSU knew the swing pass was coming from a mile away and Smith had put the ball away and taken a step or two when he was blown up.

You know nothing about me. I don't claim anything other than passable football knowledge and never have.
What I do know is there are entirely too many overly emotional fans that pervade this board with nonsense and it dilutes the conversation about actual football to the point that it's almost unenjoyable. I'm tired of losers like you coming here every week with reactionary takes based solely on whether something was successful that week or not.
If Briles goes uptempo all game, he's an idiot for not slowing it down for the defense. If we slow it down with a lead, Pittman is an idiot for being too conservative. This week it's the missed kick well within field goal range that just because it was blocked, it was a horrible call.
It's every week with you people, and yes I'm going to call a spade a spade. If you conduct yourself like an idiot, I'm going to call you one.
