lol

I know... it's fricking tiresome reading the bullshite put out about the only decent results we've had in decades in the name of propping up the latest/greatest.

I hope Pittman makes everyone absolutely forget about Petrino's success here, but the same tired shite was spewed for Bielema and Morris.
They fricking sucked from the beginning and yet people spun their praises while portraying Petrino as a one-trick pony whose only routine was Captain a-hole.

It's obvious why the media has the influence it does... plenty of Razorback fans bought into what Pat Forde and Jeff Long were selling hook/line/sinker.

I really hope that Sam does well here to the point that we don't have to make those comparisons ever again.

I'm tired of the media hype for each head coach that gets hired here but have failed when it mattered the most.

I don't get the same feeling with Sam but I'm certainly not going to put high expectations like I had with Petrino on Sam and that wouldn't be fair.

I don't put high expectations on a coach with only one year of experience. But he has certainly done a good job this year. He will get us in the right direction. A team that goes bowling each year are more reasonable expectations.

We are in a massive rebuild of not only our roster but our reputation that has sunk for so low these past 30 years.

It is better to have lower expectations and be overjoyed with a surprise season than to have high expectations and then end up in disappointment. That has been the norm for decades now in the SEC.

Not even close do we the talent of the offense that Petrino had going into his third year. I would be shocked if Sam could match the talent of this offense in his third year.

QB Ryan Mallet/Tyler Wilson

RB Knile Davis/Dennis Johnson/Broderick Green/Ronnie Wingo Jr.

WR Greg Childs/Joe Adams/Jaruis Wright/Colby Hamilton

TE D.J Williams/Chris Gragg

OL Travis Swanson, Alvin Bailey, Damascus love, Ray Dominguez, Grant Freeman, Grant Cook and Wade Grayson.

It will take time but it can be done again.

You literally started it with your "Sam isn't Bobby" line.

Yes but comparisons are being made to Petrino.

Petrino was the last coach that did anything here. He isn't Bobby right now because of his lack of coaching history but he has a chance to get results here that are close but not exact.

No one said a word about Bobby until you did.

Point being if you don't like the comparisons that much, don't instigate them. It's disingenuous to act like all the comparisons are being made to discredit Petrino in order to prop up the new guy when that's not how that went down here at all.

As a matter of fact, both of you complaining about the comparisons were the first two to actually compare Bobby to the current staff before anyone else in this thread.

Walk your talk is all I'm saying. If you don't want them compared, stop comparing them.

Yes because his success and failures will be measured against Petrino. We don't have any other gold standard of coaching since we joined the SEC.

Sam like it or not when he is done here, will be compared to Petrino. Just like previous coaches of the past such as Broyles, Holtz and Hatfield. Fans will always make comparisons and have a preference. So that discussion and comparison will be talked a bout in the future.

He has a chance to match or do better than what Bobby did here. Yes I did say I don't like the comparisons but I might as well bring it up in a discussion and get it over with because it is inevitable. So Sam has a chance here as I said but until that happens then Petrino is still the king here.

Seems a little silly to play for both teams in the same game, but to each their own.

What are your thoughts on Netori Johnson?

Netori struggles with his academice. He didn't develop as well as we expected but when he was on the field he played well. He just came in as we were recruiting some really good D Linemen and never got to the top of the depth chart. If he comes to you he will be a good one.
