Sorry didn’t mean to direct that at you. I was just shocked at it and responded to the last post.

That’s fine. Your post helped with my point to Feral.

I think Woods transferring last year was because he wanted to win, not so much get the ball. I believe with the expectations, we won’t see that this year.

If there are any sure fire position battles and someone loses out, then maybe…but I know with the RBs I’m interested in seeing if Rocket moves back out to WR or not. It’s certainly an option and also a way to keep AJ Green on roster. Rocket is an asset no matter where he lines up and the flashes of catching the ball this year he showed we’re great.

Maybe I’m crazy but I really think Rocket becomes the Treylon Burks next year. He’s versatile enough to play WR or RB that Briles could do so much with him. As long as he can consistently catch the ball.

That’s been my thought. I think Rocket goes into the Burke’s role we saw this year.

At Baylor, they would start off with 1 back in the shotgun and he would motion out to a slot receiver a bunch. It allowed them to play hurry up without subbing.

Updated with additions.

Will be curious to see if McGlothern gets into starting rotation. My guess is yes on the opposite side of where I have him listed.

McGlothern became our best CB yesterday without even touching the field. He’ll definitely start.

This.

Hoping we see Bishop on one side and McGlothern on the other, with Clark playing a situational role.

With Clarks speed (or lack) he will probably be a good fit next year at Nickel.

We need a TE out of the portal.

I liked Knox's progression down the stretch, but I'm not thrilled at the prospect of Hudson Henry being our other option.

I was hoping we could get Billingsley from Bama but he just announced for Texas.

Billingsley is a bigger issue than he's worth. Lack of effort and care from him.

Cade Fortin a QB from South Florida is coming to Arkansas as a midterm walk-on. Figured we would need 1 or 2 for spring practice.

Arkansas is adding more depth to its quarterback room with the commitment of former South Florida Bull Cade Fortin, who went public with his decision on Monday. Fortin, 6-3, 221, was a North Carolina signee out of Suwanee (Ga.) North Gwinnett in the Class of 2018 but played his last two seasons at USF.

According to sources, Fortin will join the Razorbacks as a walk-on. The former three-star recruit entered the transfer portal in late November. Here's more background info on Fortin from 247Sports' Garrett Stepien when he entered the portal:

"A transfer from North Carolina in 2020, Fortin entered 2021 as the Bulls' starting quarterback. In five games this season, Fortin completed 25 of 48 passes (52.1%) for 183 yards and zero touchdowns to two interceptions. He rounded out his production by attempting nine rushing attempts and scoring one touchdown.

The 6-foot-3, 221-pound Fortin was a fourth-year sophomore. While a third-year sophomore and first-year USF player in 2020, Fortin completed 4 of 8 passes (50%) for 39 yards while adding the same amount as a runner on four attempts.

Fortin had official visits to Kansas, Syracuse and Vanderbilt before joining the Bulls as a transfer. He took his talents to the Bulls after a one-and-done 2018 season at UNC, completing 23 of 65 passes (35.4%) for 388 yards and one touchdown in four games (two starts). On the ground with the Tar Heels, Fortin took 14 carries for 76 yards (5.4 average) and one touchdown.

Fortin enrolled early Jan. 7, 2018, at North Carolina. He signed his letter of intent Dec. 20, 2017, 13 days after committing. Before UNC, Fortin committed Aug. 15, 2016, to Texas A&M. He reopened his recruitment Dec. 4, 2017, and completed a flip to the Tar Heels three days later.

Originally, Fortin was a three-star recruit out of Suwanee (Ga.) North Gwinnett. The industry-generated 247Sports Composite considered him the Class of 2018's No. 675 overall prospect, No. 29 pro-style quarterback and No. 68 player in Georgia.

Fortin's offer list in high school included Iowa, Louisville, Kentucky, Rutgers, Oklahoma State, Vanderbilt, Iowa State, Arkansas State, West Virginia, Colorado State and Ole Miss.

I assume Malik is gone after the Spring Game. I’m sure the coaches said show off in the Spring Game, enter the portal and have more options.

I'm sure our coaches are going to take snaps away from players committed to this team to help a transferee find a better destination. Makes tons of sense.

For next year, yes. The problem is we need a senior because going forward we look to be absolutely stacked at TE. It is a problem I would love to have at every position but with what we have coming in we need someone who is one or two seasons and done and knows that.

Agreed. It'll be a tricky position because you don't want a logjam with what we have in the 2023 class.

Never said that did I? You need someone to run second team, we also know what Jefferson is going to give us. Right now Malik is number 2 and will be getting all the second string snaps, and if he balls out he will be gone. Coaches already know he is willing to leave, so they will snake him out like they did Woods.
