Pomfret freshman year, then fraternity house. That hill was a bitch, and largely responsible for never attending class my first semester and getting a 1.5. Good times.

Freshmen\Pledges were allowed to live in Fraternity Houses when I was on the Hill (80's).

Ah, did not know that. I had a few buddies that moved in the 2nd semester of freshman year but not the first.

We could still do it in the early 2000’s. I think it changed around ‘04 or ‘05, if I remember correctly. We completely revamped rush at that time and I think that was part of the decision that we presented.

Gotcha, was a freshman in '10. The idea of a pledge living in the house seems very strange.

Right around when we got kicked off.

Glory Days are def. gone but likely for good reason. Things got pretty bad at Arkansas around the 2000s.

I remember when I found out pledges no longer get lived in houses. That seemed so weird to me.

The entire pledge experience was living in house and having drunk old heads show up at 3am from the bars to entertain themselves with a lineup of the pledges.

And Fraternity house for first two years then get out on my own ASAP into a house with friends for next two.
