It's reasonable to use stars as the only measure when talking about recruits, not when you have actual D-1 footage of them.

agree, I edited my comment. Starkel ended up on a 2-10 team that finished dead last in the league. What does that say about the kind of player he is?

It means he's a player that doesn't shy away from competition. He wanted to stay in the SEC, the top conference in college football. He transferred after Ben Hicks did. That means he's confident as hell in his abilities. Because he transfered to a school in the same division, it means he's the kind of player who wants to beat his former team's arse for not believing in him. I really don't know why you think him transferring here means he didn't have better options. If he has a vendetta against A&M we were likely his first choice.

Ohio State had interest in him and Fields, Fields bit first according to some Ohio State fans sites...

and, Florida State wanted Stark as well...

He only lost his position after Jimbo became coach, right???

He is a competitor, I think are in better shape...

That's literally the reason he transferred.

He transferred because Jimbo likes mobile QBs and he isn't. Starkel throws the ball better than Mond he's just not as good of an athlete. Jimbo wasn't going to start him based on playing style, not talent. The only sensible move is to transfer. You're talking out your arse.

The results of this class are objective in that regard. If that upsets you, deal with it. That said, you've repeatedly said they don't matter but want to bring them up just for the sake of argument when stirring shite about QBs. How are you so bored that you find the time to force an argument on Starkel vs. Storey's recruitment and act like a QB transferring from one SEC school to another is somehow a sign of failure while the guys we just dropped are struggling in the Southland? Instead of enjoying the upgrade, you're on here bitching about Starkel's offer list from three years ago. Get real.

You ignore context repeteadly for the sake of starting stupid arguments and adjust your takes to be as contrarian as possible. Get a hobby.

You're right. He transferred to a school that had literally just signed a senior graduate transfer that had spent 3 years starting in this system because he doesn't like competition.

If he liked competition so much he would have stayed at A&M. Also Ben Hicks sucks arse and Starkel probably knew that.

Didn't happen. How are you so bored that you just make shite up on a message board to win an imaginary argument? Lighten up.

Four star, number 2 recruit in our class with a bunch of Power 5 offers was actually bad. But Starkel, a three star with fewer offers who transferred to the worst team in the SEC, he's good.

I don't even have to add anything anymore. You just dig your own grave.

Just popping in to say that this thread has turned into a shitshow and I didn't have anything to do with it.

I'm excite to see what happens with the QBs moving forward. I don't care if it's Hicks, Jones, Starkel, or Jefferson, I think we will be better at the QB spot moving forward.

At the same time I feel for both the guys that just left, and especially Storey. I think Storey may have been good if he had had better coaching. I think it's likely difficult to build confidence OR skill as a player when someone is kicking your dick inside your guts every other snap for two years and your coach is a gdamn bum who wears shower shoes to press conferences.

Excited about the future, wish the two that just left the best of luck moving forward.

Bert was Bert but Enos was one of the better coordinators we've had here. Turned Brandon Allen from a complete dumpster fire into an NFL draft pick. Not sure how much he worked with the backups at the time but I think most of this just comes down to natural ability. Storey could barely throw it 50 yards last year.

Not bitching about his offers, just comparing them to Noland's. Sorry the facts make you so upset.

You mean the baseball player? The guy who isn't on the football team? Why would you be comparing offers to that guy? You couldn't possibly be....
