I doubt anyone is happy with that. But there's a difference between being happy and wanting someone fired.

Boar, serious question, in 8 years what has Mike accomplished that gives you hope?

0 top 25 finishes
0 conference Titles
0 second weekend appearances

I see nothing of quality in his resume over 8 years.

You’re settling for mediocrity and hoping someday a spark will hit and he will start winning meaningful games. Who is to guarantee that will happen? Just like you say others are hoping they will be right that he is a bad coach, you are hoping in the other direction.

Yes, there is a very big difference between these two.

I'm gonna choose not to answer your question.

Have a nice evening.

Oh, and just so ya know, the only reason I am posting in this thread is because my name is in the thread title.

Don't wanna be accused of flooding the boards.

I'll bid this board adieu until Saturday.

Let me answer it for you. You base that on a past record that doesn’t take into account the improvement of the coaching talent in the SEC.

Cal
Barnes
Pearl
Howland
Davis

All of those will pass up Mike over the next four years and there are a few more who could get past him that I haven’t listed. Take off those rose colored glasses and look at reality.

Mike is the basketball version of Houston Nutt. We’re about 2 years away from really setting this program back.

Back to before he got here? The worst program in the conference?

Or taking a step back from the current 2nd best program?

If the first one, you've lost your mind.

Think back to the early 90’s. We sucked donkey. Ford gets canned, Houston comes in and ra ra’s Us all up. Has a few good years, a few bad, and at the end of his 10 year tenure gets canned with the fan base fractured in a million pieces. Mike is much of the same. 15 win season this year and a missed tournament next year and the fan base will make our discussions look like two kids pillow fighting.

I don't think he'd be back if he wins 15 this year. That wouldn't even be NIT and I can't see him surviving that.

With the performance we have seen so far in January find me more than 5 wins on the schedule.

@ Ole Miss
Mizzou
@ Texas Tech
UGA
@LSU
Vandy
@SCAR
@ Mizzou
Mississippi State
@ Auburn
A&M
@ Kentucky
Ole Miss
@ Vandy
Alabama

I don’t see us winning any of the road games. We may pull 5 at home but doubtful. A loss in the opening round of the SEC and Mike has his first losing season. We’re a blowout by Ole Miss and Texas Tech from this team mentally mailing it in.

This will be interesting. I hope that is the case. My expectations were a decent NIT birth. Don't think there is an excuse not to at least make the NIT, even in a "rebuilding year."

I can see beating Mizzou, UGA, Vandy, A&M, and Bama at home. All of those teams are pretty bad.

I could see winning @Vandy and @Mizzou as well.

When mike left, and came from mizzou. Weren't they good that next year, and then shite for years?

Is this same thing happening now? Have we begun the mike anderson version of the petrino 4 year curse?

He left what may have been his best team to come here, I wonder if he regrets it.

That 2011 team was so loaded, even more so than his Elite 8 team there. Pressey, Bowers, English, Denmon.

Frank Haith took that roster to 30-4 and #3 ranking, and won the Big 12 tournament....and then got bounced as a 2 seed in the first round to Norfolk State.

Yeah that was a damn good team minus the Norfolk disaster. During the regular season, they weren't just winning, they were hammering teams. Mike put that team together, and I understand why he left for Arky (it was the way he did it that pissed everyone off) but sometimes the grass isn't always greener on the other side.
