It is good to at least see the players and coaches acknowledge how bad they were last season. Obviously that doesn't mean they won't happen again but you can see it really bothered the players last year and they don't shy away from it, not that they have much choice.
quote:

"Go back and watch the second half of the Missouri game, going back and watching the second half of the Virginia Tech game, it stings. It really drove us all offseason, that was embarrassing for us. Something that can't happen again this year." -- Austin Allen

quote:

“It’s very frustrating because I don’t think it reflected us as a team, but I also think it was great for us overall, in the long run, to realize we need to finish, we need to be accountable, we need to be consistent,” Ragnow said. “The leaders didn’t step up the way they needed to step up and ultimately, I think it was on the players.

“That’s one thing this offseason we really focused on. We want to be the most consistent team from start to finish, we want to be accountable to each other. We want to know that we’re going to play from minute one all the way through.”

You didn't watch the Mizzou game then, both were equally horrible. I guess at least VT is a respectable team last year.

While a game is ongoing, I'm generally very pessimistic. I wasn't feeling good at half time at all and I think most saw it coming after VT scored twice, uncontested.

I'm never optimistic while watching a Razorback game in the second half.

Didn't Tech come from behind big in something like half their games last season? I know our game was their biggest comeback in school history.

No, they only had one game were they came back from half, other than us. They were down 10 to a bad ND team and won. They made a good effort against Clemson in the ACC Championship game but lost by 7.

I was sitting at a BWW out of state watching the game, having some wings and just knowing we were going to collapse. They turned the Big screen on our game for me. Other folks were saying, "This game is over, Arkansas is tough" and I said, "You don't know us very well at all... we will blow this"

I left with 3 mins left and folks feeling sorry for me.

Right on, must have miss remembered. They were probably just talking about us blowing games.

Enos can't make halftime adjustments for crap.

The offense seems to get a pass for the most part when we talk about these collapses because the defense was just so bad for almost all the games, while the offense was a little more solid throughout the season.

The offense obviously contributed to those collapses and deserves their fair share of the blame.

Hard to hold a lead when your oline is so atrocious and hog can't run the ball and kill the clock

It seemed to be turnovers moreso than not being able to move the ball too, in both games. Morgan losing the ball, Allen throwing an INT in the endzone, the unlucky play against VT where they intercepted the screen pass...

I feel like those types of things are easier to clean up than if we just looked anemic on offense and were punting all the time

While Enos doesn't get a complete pass, I agree with this. On the offensive side it seemed like the chances were there but the players didn't execute.

Our running game has gotten progressively worse since Bielema arrive. I personally think it was because Pittman is a shite offensive line coach for running the ball with a philosophy that just doesn't work.

If we can see some actual improvements this season.. it will go a long way towards giving us a shot at being a good team.

If Morgan doesn't fumble the damn ball on the goaline then we most likely beat VT going away. That play had us skating on ice immediately and we never recovered.

I know this is off topic, but does anyone else get the feeling that Brandon was viewed more as a leader than Austin is?

I just get the feeling that the 2015 team was Brandon's team. I Don't feel like last year's team was Austin's team. Hopefully he steps up this year.

I know that Bert and other coaches have mentioned that Brandon was much more vocal than Austin. I believe Austin kind of fills that lead by example role. I don't think much needs to be said because the players can see him taking a beating while still performing.

Struggling offensively in the second half and failing to score in crunch time has been a frequent problem the last four seasons under two different offensive coordinators...
