First off I'm dead inside and the Razorbacks can't hurt me anymore. Second offly this yessiirrr shite is not working for me. It's we didn't come to paint-ish.

Sam Pittman is going to turn this around or our athletic department is going to be sucking dick for gas money in a few years.

Not excited about the OC rumor. Barry Odom would be a solid DC.

At a minimum he will get the team to buy in. He is universally loved by former players of all position groups.

I'll hold onto the rope with my retard strength until we lose to a SJSU in year 2.

Even though I tried to stay positive with Morris I've truly been apathetic to Razorback football for the better part of 4 years. I was excited about Morris at first but only watched 3 games last year and couldn't stand his press conferences. Never wanted to meet him in person and not sure why I supported his dumbassery for so long.

I want to love Razorback football again and have a reason to mix it up with them narrow eyed swamptards on the rant, but if this hire fails I think I'm going to hang up the gloves.

I think you’re right in we have to give him a reasonable chance. Nobody wanted this job

Yup. If we don't turn things around in football soon it will make the ouster of Jeff Long look like a tea party.

Oddly enough other than football and men's track everything seems to be coming up roses for Arkansas sports. Men's and women's basketball seem to be trending up. We are top 10 in baseball. Women's track just completed a calendar year sweep of national titles. Hell, even the women's soccer team won the SEC regular season title this year.

How can we be so good at so many things but so bad at the most important thing?

Softball is also top half of the SEC after never being relevant. Gymnastics remains to be seen how it goes with Jordyn.

Men's track and volleyball next coaching hires to make.

Because people overthink shite. Like you said it’s he most important sport so you have more people wanting to get their hands involved, you have more people wanting to be connected and make decisions and people’s egos are easily stroked or hurt by decisions made concerning football.

This is the motherlicking truth.

Fanbase morale is at an all-time low. Long really fricked this program's shite up. Terrible hires and saddling the program with the empty north endzone.

I don't think Pittman was a terrible hire, but from a fanbase morale standpoint, its not an instant stimulator. A big name hire like Kiffin would have stimulated interest again. Attendance is going to suffer the next two years, and Pittman will have to work to win over the fanbase.

Already a few former players wanting to help and come back as GA's now supposedly, ie Drew Morgan, Travis Swanson, and others.

meh winning cures all if we win the fans will show if we don’t they won’t simple as that. If we are playing for a bowl berth Missouri weekend next year I doubt our stands are empty even in Missouri

That’s a damn big if. Probably not the best time to go cheap on a project.

Bert (with Pittman) had the fan base locked in in 2014 with the “borderline erotic” comment. All it took was a 6-6 season capitalized with a bowl win over a shitty Texas team. That momentum was mostly deflated week 2 of the next season with the loss to Toledo. Point is we don’t need a lot to get the fan base back. Just give us SOMETHING. I bet Sam gives us something to hang onto next year. It may not be much, but it will be something.

If we snap the ball well (lol but it’s true), have an offense that slowly but steadily shows improvement (no changing QB’s every game), play with passion, and sign some highly rated offensive linemen, we will be buying back in.

Ehhh..... it's not going to be good but there were more people at the plane landing in the middle of the night on Sunday then there was for Morris.

There already is a social media movement to try and pack the stadium for the season opener next year. Never saw that with Morris.

If anything there will be a huge contingent of comp tickets given out because ALL of his former players want to be involved.

Yep. Lowest paid coach in the sec. It’s like we’ve given up.

Would paying Pittman more money make him a better coach?

Hopefully we use that extra money to bring in a great staff.

Our fans are funny.

Give a big contract and huge buyout : "ERMAGERD - no wonderz (insert coach here) didn't work hard. he is using us as a retirement plan."

Give a reasonable contract and a DAMN SMART buyout : "oh noes we so cheepz.... no wonderz we won't wins"

We ain't cheap. Our dumbass GOBN tried to give Gus a billion dollars last coaching search. We finally have a smart AD.

None of us know what's going to happen with Pittman. The contract we offered is just fine unless we had Saban, Meyer, or Dabo lined up. Kiffin, nor Drink, nor about anyone else deserves a Bielema anchor type contract.

People wanna talk about ruining a program. Smart contracts don't ruin programs. Stupid arse buyouts ruin programs.

More people at the press conference today.

More standing ovations.

More emotion.

We will see if that translates to ticket sales and donations.

But people are much more invested emotionally compared to when there was a dumb arse f'n aggie in charge.

It is kind of hard to not root for the guy even if you didn't care of the hire. Very humble and grateful. Doesn't mean he will do a good job but sure helps.
