What are your expectations for Sam Pittman going forward?
I like what I'm seeing with this team. And I expect it to only get better.
It's their attitude.
I think we're in good hands. Sam's a true leader.

We are 3 plays away from being 6-3 with an all SEC schedule with zero depth and very little talent compared to the teams we have played. He had almost zero spring practice to get better with a team that went 1-23 in the SEC the previous 3 years.
We currently have the #19 recruiting class in the nation and he hasn't even been able to host recruits. He went out and took us from a 100+ recruiting class ranking to top 30 and had one of the best February signing day hauls in the nation last year in little more than a month. He got us the BEST grad transfer QB available.
From the evidence we have right now HY has made the best hires in the two biggest sports that we have made in 30+ years.
It isn't the 70's anymore. We are not a national power. we haven't been one for a very long time. College football has changed and being in the SEC is the ONLY thing that has kept us even close to being relevant and able to recruit at a high level. We would be Ok St in the B12 at best right now... or we could just look at Kansas for an example of where Jeff Long would have had us in that conference. Both teams that will be absolutely fricked when OK and Texas leave during the next realignment.

Thanks for leaving out the less flattering parts. I was still a little salty this morning

Winning seasons. He's gotta make a bowl from here on out for me. Then I would like everyone in a while for us to challenge for the top but I'll take consistently bowl eligible

Assuming we go back to the normal schedule next year, 7 should be doable. With Elingher gone at Texas, we could potentially win all four OOC. Then you’d just need to win 3 or 4 of Auburn, State, Ole Miss, LSU and Mizzou.
Rice
Texas
Georgia Southern
UAPB
Alabama
Auburn
Mississippi State
Georgia
LSU
Ole Miss
Missouri

Just beat Mizzou. So effing sick of that annual beat down/let down.
I'd have given back one of Ole Miss/Miss State and UT to beat Mizzou this year honestly.
We've simply gotta recruit capable bodies. They don't even have to be studs. Just get 3 star guys with size and some ability and plug them in with mentality/culture.
That'd be leaps and bounds above where we've been the last 5 years.

Dumb question, but assuming next year's Texas game is in Fayetteville as the long-awaited second game in the home and home that started in Petrino's first year?
I was at that game in Austin in 2008 and it freaking suuuuuucked. It was also the same day that Ole Miss knocked off Florida in Nutt's first year. I'll never forget sitting in DKR Stadium sweating my arse off watching us get our doors blown off by Colt McCoy and some UT fan behind me saying "holy shite Ole Miss just beat Florida."
Still the shitttiest away game experience I've ever had.

We have to beat one of the three of Auburn, A&M and Mizzou next year. I can't take another year of 0-3 to those programs.
We have had an absolutely unparalleled string of bad luck against those teams the last half decade or so. We are a combined 2-19 against those three since 2014, with both of those victories coming in 2015. That is incomprehensible.

That is just another tough schedule.
5-7 or 6-6 is a more realistic expectation.

Missouri is more likely of the three.

We need to beat Texas to have a shot at 7 wins.

My baseline goal (albeit extremely low) was at least one SEC win. I believe that both Bielema and Morris showed that starting a conference slate 0-fer is a forecast for a shitty future. 3-7 is nothing spectacular but considering that we have only won 4 SEC games the previous 4 seasons it's at least an improvement.
Now that we have won 3 SEC games we need to match that mark and possibly surpass it next season. I think we have a chance to win all 4 of the noncons. So there should be at least a shot at winning 7-8 games.
The main thing we must do is build on any on field success with recruiting success. Which is a duh! statement. We also need to tell our AD, BOT, GOBN, whatever nostalgia obsessed booster remains in our fanbase that beating Texas does not warrant an 50 million dollar contract and a 100 million dollar buyout. Losing to Texas doesn't also = automatic firing either. Texas is a fun game to get hyped about but it's not a program defining win or loss anymore. Don't repeat the Bielema Texas Bowl blunder again!

For what ever reason that game just means more to them.
We snuck up on some teams early in the year. Probably didn’t get their full attention. That’s not so with mizzou. We’re their super bowl.

It will be hard to surpass three SEC wins next year but they are capable of matching it.
It depends on our improvement and the rest of the SEC. We might be better but other teams could show a lot more improvement. That could spoil the plans of more SEC wins.
I have them next year at 5-7 wins. But likely closer to 7 wins because we finally have the coaching.

It is not that they want it more but have faced the worst stretch of razorback football since the early 50s. It shouldn't be a shock that they have a 5 game winning streak.
We didn't sneak up on Ole Miss, Miss state and Tennessee. Those teams just suck and we finally have the coaching to beat them.
We would have beaten both LSU and Missouri if we played them earlier in the year and didn't get screwed by the the schedule, players opting out for the season, injuries and of course covid testing shrinking the numbers.

5-7/6-6 next year. 7-5 in year 3 and 8-4 in year 4. The 5th season 8-4/9-3. But the sixth year 9-3/10-2 is the year that we are competing for an SEC title.

It’s definitely bullshite that we get Georgia in back to back years due to the screw job this year. My guess is 6-6 as well with 7 wins after the bowl.
