This is so fricking stupid it makes my head hurt. This is what he did at SMU

2-10
5-7
7-5

That’s called building up a dogshit program. If he wins 5 this year I think most fans would be okay with that. If he wins 7 with a bowl chance next year that would also be improvement. When win totals drop year to year that’s when I get concerned. Again, because I’m a reasonable person, you look at record with no context and freak the frick out.

Lie. I was at the game on Saturday cheering and standing up to call the Hogs. You don't know what you're talking about.

And to answer your question this isn’t personal, in fact, unlike Dale, CFB Fanatic, etc I think that deep down you are a rational person, which is why your actions are frustrating. Those guys are just miserable trolls, you aren’t. It’s one thing to be critical but quite another to be so blinded by anger you can’t see objectively. No one is saying you have to drink the kool aid, only to be more patient to see how things play then go scorched earth if you so choose. Hell im still not convinced he’ll be successful long term. Right now it’s too early to make any definitive judgement one way or the other. He’s the coach, whether we like it or not, and he deserves more than 13 games to prove himself, period.

This is complete horseshite. I was positive about Mike all the way until the end. I was positive about baseball this year and picked them to make it to Omaha early in the season, then picked them to make the finals. I was positive about Bert until the end too and caught mountains of shite for it. I've been realistic about Chad, not negative. When he gives me something positive to cheer about I'll do it. If we beat Ole Miss I'll jump on the bandwagon like everyone else.

1. What is complaining about what we have going to really change? What's the point?

2. Our roster is horrible. It's better now. We have talent in some spots and no depth. I think it's pretty pointless to really grade the coach until we have given him some time to turn the roster over. The same as we did with petrino and with bert.

Personally, I can see improvement on the O line, the WR's, our QB play and our defense is not horrible.

I chose to see the progress we made.

Everyone says that we look like a 5-6 win team, then complains when we have issues. lol we look like a 5-6 win team lol. if we had the answers at QB / depth, we would not be a 5-6 win team

The next two games will tell us a lot. Win both and we’re right on schedule. Lose both and it’ll be pretty clear which way this is headed.

Good to see you around the joint again Lat. Lots of ol timers from the past have disappeared.

Morris said yesterday, they went generic base offense Saturday. Nothing special, nothing big, just enough to win.

Generic base offense against a shite team should still dominate if you’re good.

We just HMU ave to hope for the week 1 to 2 improvement.

I watched Chads presser and heard him say that, but I’m still left with a “wtf” thought on how the offense was managed overall. I also hope he runs more of the offense this week.

This is a pretty reasonable and simple way to look at it.

I concur Doctor.

Why bother pointing things out. Just remember back to last summer when most Hog fans were willing to overlook the fact that we had no QB, no WRs, and no OL last season and expected 8 wins and a bowl.

Hawgeye's prediction thread us proof.

I never believe it anymore when coaches say that or when they talk about simplifying the playbook so the players can react without thinking.

Bottom line is Chad inherited a really bad program with very little talent. His first class was full of players that he could get without relationships. Last year's class was pretty good. It's going to take Chad 3-4 seasons to really turn this thing around and it doesn't sound like many hog fans are going to be willing wait.

I’m sure he’s not lying when he says we came up with a very vanilla game plan. What he’s not saying is that we never thought Portland State would stop it or slow us down so we were caught with our pants down when we needed to be creative and hadn’t put that in the game plan for the week.

Yeah most things are set early and the plan is the plan. They do need more options or adjustments if the scenario isn't going as planned. The biggest head scratcher is speed at the moment. I don't know why we aren't playing at a higher tempo. That is my concern. One thing I'd like to see more from our QBs is not sticking in the pocket, if there is an opening, they need to take off. That's something that we haven't done in a long time though. QB see the opening and go get the first down. See a lot of other teams doing it, but not ours.

I found it interesting that people bitch about Hicks not being able to move the ball down field or pass it. He has huge stats that says he can. Starkel has less experience, but that goes for him too. I've read that most of the heat Starkel catches is from games that mond played. I personally feel like Mond at A&M isn't as good as he is hyped, so I would like to see Nick earn/show off here.

Was very weird them putting him in when they did. Hicks should've finished that half IMO.

I'm still puzzled by the QB issue. But at this point there isn't any sense in bitching about any of this stuff. At the end of the day Morris is working with a roster full of freshmen. That team that came in here last weekend only had 55 players. Well, Arkansas has damn near that same number of freshmen. I've never seen anything like it and it seems unreasonable to expect this guy to win a bunch of games with fifty three freshmen on his squad.

He's gonna get time to see what he can do once these newcomers mature a little bit. If he isn't, the university is handling its business poorly. Chad pitched them his vision, they liked it, they shook hands and signed papers. Millions of dollars are at stake and you don't pull the damn plug on such a project one year into it without a damn good reason. A reason beyond not winning games right away. We already knew going into this season we aren't gonna win many. The team is simply too young.

Of course, the negahogs are going to try to trivialize the fact that we have so many newcomers, but that shite is ridiculous. We play in the toughest division of the toughest conference in college football. This thing is going to take time. 1) I highly doubt he would be fired after this season even if he did go 0-8 in conference play again. 2) He won't go 0-8 in conference play again. I think Arkansas wins this weekend.

I just dont understand the extreme hate for Chad when it comes from the same people who still love Bobby. How can you like a massive piece of shite, and dislike someone that is still cleaning up the mess? Bobby fricked us hard, John L was not smiles, Bert had promise, but honestly gave up. Chad had to deal with all of their problems, has been working hard, and has his kid coming here. The dude seems pretty all in, in this shite situation.

It’s just a reflection of society in general. You can’t be “in the middle” anymore. Either you love something or you hate it, there is no middle ground. If you don’t hate Morris then you must be a sunshine pumper or a homer instead of just being a rational person. I’ve also mentioned instant gratification which is also a problem with sports today. Win now or get fired, but instead of that timeline being reasonable (multiple years) it’s been shortened to a single season or two. It’s ridiculous tbh.

I was pissed on Saturday after the game. Even posted a couple of things I regret now. The instant gratification comment is absolutely correct. I fell victim to it. Just so damn tired of being terrible. I’m choosing to believe Morris will take over play calling and that we were super vanilla. Go Hogs!

I wish we could all get along.

I do understand the negas tho- we seemingly suck yet again. That said, one game into season 2 is too early to call, but it doesn't look promising at the moment.

I'm bored with having a shite team. It's not even embarrassing anymore, it's just boring.
