Well, he wins all his games.
ETA: Also, I have been thinking about how there are like 900 transfers per year. It's an interesting way to build your team. I mean, there are still gonna be all those transfers happening for the foreseeable future and if this guy has a pro style niche he can sell to all these kids to come here, then by all means.
In the meantime we may be able to hold on to a few of our guys talking about transferring.

I was born early enough to experience things like my parents using a real, physical map for directions, no one in my family owning a cellphone, DVD was brand new and we only owned VHS, floppy disc drives on computers (most new laptops don't even have a CD drive anymore), had a portable cd player before I had an ipod, you actually had to hang up the phone because it was on a cord, etc. Someone born just 4 years after me wouldn't have had those same experiences because by the time the could actually remember stuff mapquest had come out, DVDs were standard, ipods were always around, etc. Generations are like 5 years long starting in the late 80s lmao.

He’s a developer.
It’s not too likely we recruit well enough to compete with UK for championships. So why not take a different approach with the guy who can coach a diamond in the rough up to a lottery pick? Plus, we’ll get some high-end talent as the destination school in the state. Those guys will be expertly developed as well.
Seems like a Musselman-type is our best shot at real success.

I am just guessing, but I think they are making Beard say 'no', and his run in the tournament is slowing things down. I still believe Sampson was HY's first choice, but the CIW thing probably ended that.
Feeling out Musselman, Marshall and maybe another one or two in the mean time while waiting on Beard.

All very salient points. But it's just so strange to have zero real bearing on what's going on. Yurachek must really be out in the wilderness on this one, with virtually no one else knowing what the hell is going on.
I'm sure the board is pretty antsy at this point as well. He may be telling them nothing either. I would guess that's typically where most of the credible leaks come from.
But if the whole beard obsession is true. That alos puts HY in a shitty spot.
He's a pipe dream at this point.
