That was my reaction as well. No wonder all practices were closed. Folks probably would have been pissed to find out practices weren’t live while we were in the middle of a record breaking SEC losing streak and sucked at tackling technique.

I still see the national media in particular and quite a few folks on the tRant that go on and on about how Bert tried to set up a power running offense here.
It was pro style with an emphasis on having just enough runs to set up play action passes. As one Texas fan, who is obviously smarter than most media members, said "If Arkansas just lines up and runs the ball down your throat then they think you are complete pussies."

I'd like some proof this wasn't a cluster. No way in hell it wasn't. I didn't expect much, but I did expect more than an O-line coach with NO OC, or HC experience. Can't tell me there isn't a good OC that wouldn't have taken the job.

I don't really believe that.
I am coming to terms with Pittman.
I think he should go after someone like Briles, but does he know anyone like that?
I think he will probably fill it up with people he knows or worked with. Like every other coach.

Because interviewing and gauging interest of other candidates doesn't take time. Just because we wanted another coach, belichick or saban, doesn't mean we offered.

Good for Ole Miss. We likely were spurned by kiffin, the timeline would suggest it. But only time will tell who made the better hire.

Compared to Chaggy, everyone seems authentic. But wasnt Swanson lobbying for Pittman? Could be worse names in your corner than former players.

He’s been assistant HC at like 5 schools including here, uga and unc. I’m not sure exactly what that means but I’d assume it’s at least the level of coordinator.

Now did Sexton and Kiffin pull some BS? Probable. But that does not excuse not having a backup, or having a contract sooner so that no BS could be done.
Your happy with Pittman. Great. Hope your right. I would love to be wrong. But I'm not buying the BS that will be flowing at record levels. This is on paper a worse hire than Chad and Bert.
