Not really. Gauging interest takes no time at all. Unfortunately for us the job is just really, really unattractive right now. Our past three coaches have left on very bad terms, and we've gained the reputation of a place where coaches go to die. And even if you can get a good recruiting class, it will still be last in the division. It's a hard sell for an up and comer, and an even harder sell for someone that's an established coach.

Well, I hate to say it, but if wide receivers, or any other player on the team think they should be able to determine for the coach what brand of offense we run, they probably should move on down the road. We aren't paying them to make those kinds of decisions. We are paying them to play.

ETA: Bama and LSU have had some of best recievers in the country, including years where their passing games were pretty pitiful.
