Places to stay/eat/drink in Fayetteville

Hey pigs, I come in peace.
I am coming up for a work trip that is going to be over a Thursday night. I had just been up there and had stayed at the Graduate which seemed half remodeled. Bar was good, but whoever thought plaid on the outside was a good idea should be shot.
I was wondering of other places you all may recommend that is walkable to food and drink. Normally I sit at a bar watching sports. Ubering is fine.
I didn’t get to go out or anything last time because of a morning meeting. I appreciate your suggestions.

I think the graduate is fully remodeled now. When it was the chancellor before, it was my #1 hotel choice in Fayetteville. The location can’t be beat.

If it this weekend then you are screwed. We have our white trash on bikes this weekend. Yeah, those of us who live there or lived there hate it too.
A friend of mine stayed at the Dickson Street Inn, which is booked solid with the bikers this weekend, and said it was a nice place. Since it is on Dickson Street you can just walk to anywhere you want to eat or drink.

That’s connected to Dickson street pub. Always seen it, never went into the Inn. Killer location too.

I had looked at the Dickson inn last time. Wasn’t sure if it was a bed and breakfast.
Graduate isn’t fully renovated yet. Things are just a bit “off” right now. Used to stay at the chancellor before. Loved the location.
I am up there on the 10th. Graduate is $95 bucks.

Unfortunately you are coming during Bike's, Blues, & BBQ weekend so the normal recomendations I would give are going to just be jam packed with bikers. JJ's Beer Garden & Brewey should be less crazy full of bikers as it is away from the festival & downtown (it's near the mall), but they'll probably still be all over it since it's one od the best bars in town. All the JJ's in house beer in Fayetteville is brewed there, good staff, they have live music most weekends, sports on the tv, and good food. It's just far off from Dickson Street, Campus, & downtown.

They’ve already taken over Rogers. Unfortunately I live close to a motorcycle dealership. Even traffic getting home from work today was worse than usual

Yes. That's what bikers hope and pray will be on display down there. The truth is much, much more sad and pathetic.
Also, judging from the lack of traffic snarling from the festival so far this week, I'd say this will be the lowest attendance to date. All the Sons of Anarchy wannabes have finally sold their Harleys and started investing in condos in South Florida, I guess.

There's still gonna be a shitload of bikes down there. I live south of town aways and can hear them constantly on the interstate. Steady stream since sometime last night. frickin sucks.

There's nothing wrong with bikes, bikers, or hot babes. Obviously.
The problem is four hundred thousand loud vehicles on the road at all times for four damn days. It sucks. I hate it.

I don't get the mentality of bikers. I have nothing against them, I just don't understand what makes someone think it's cool to congregate with other bikers by the half million. It's dumb as shite. I mean, I like to ride myself, but there is no damn way I'm getting all costumed up and riding half way across the country to overwhelm some community with loud noises. I bought my property out in the hills for a damn reason. And it's to avoid the exact type of bullshite that comes with an event like BBBBBBBQ. Got no fricking choice in the matter these days unless you drive half way across the state to get away from it.
It's like having a gotdamn comic-con foisted upon you. They're raping my ears with their need to feel like their part of some stupid club or something.

Is there really that many? I would think the number would be a lot less like 100,000 or so. Still way too many.

I do as well. It's also very economical. My buddy has a cruiser and it is super comfy & gets around 60 mpg. I've thought about getting a bike and that's definitley what I would go for, but it would be for two specific purposes 1. To and from work to save gas money. And 2. Driving scenic backroads.
I totally get why bikers would want to come to NWA to ride. The Pig trail is a gorgeous drive but I don't get the appeal of congregating with your fellow biker brethern. I completley feel you. It's dumb.
The best time to do the drive would be in late october to first week of Novemeber anyway so it's not like they're all meeting up on one of the perfect weekends to go for a drive. It's just a social gathering for people who have made owning a motorcycle part of their everyday identity.
I don't get the appeal of revving your engine and burning rubber outside of JJ's on Dickson and smoking up the whole fricking bar but for whatever reason a lot of riders at Bikes, Blues, & BBQ think that's badass and a testament to living life to the fullest and that's why everyone hates BBB and the bikers that come up here for it.

Supposedly there are 400,000 bikes in town. I don't know how they come up with that number, but I've heard that number thrown out multiple years in a row.
ETA: I completely agree about the pig trail ride. Very beautiful stretch of road. I've considered buying a bike myself just for doing scenic rides like that. I would really, really like to ride the Blue Ridge Parkway. Still, no way, no how would I ever consider attending a "biker rally" on a motorcycle. It's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard of. I wouldn't be caught dead on a bike in Fayetteville right now.

I am very thankful that my trip isn't this week. I would have been trying to book a hotel wondering why everything is sold out.
