So Dickson inn and The Collegiate are both still open for rooms. Carriage house in the Dickson is only $159 and Collegiate is $98. I generally don't like the easy to hear everyone type of thing with inn's but it looks pretty nice. The "anonymity" (meaning you just go to your room and no one is staring at you) of Collegiate is nice.
Which would you pick?

I wouldn't because they are both good choices. That and I have family in the area so I would stay with them.
Joking aside. Both are adjacent to the areas you want to visit while you are there. A short walk would take you to a street with great dining and drinking options.
I would lean more to the Collegiate but I am a cheap skate.

Luckily work is paying for it. I just hate the feeling of staying in someone’s house when staying at an inn. But it’s so damn close to where I want to be

I have never even heard of The Collegiate. Where is it? I can’t find it on google?

It’s a remodel of the chancellor. Ugly as hell with plaid on the outside now. But nice bar and new styling inside.
To your point, whoever decided to name hotels in college towns “the collegiate” should be hit with a tack hammer.

It is. The Graduate Fayetteville to be exact, since there are a bunch of Graduate hotels across the nation.

Thankfully you can put your tack hammer away. It's not called "the collegiate." It's "The Graduate."

Well I guess I see why I called it the collegiate
Graduate is much better than last time. They are still doing renovations but if feels much better this time. Gym wasn’t open yet though. Thankfully there are 16 stories to climb up and down
Still need to figure out where I go from here. At the hotel bar currently.
