Agreed to 12 minute quarters. Bobby would've never done this.

You shite stomp a shitty SWAC team and move on to the bye week.

Change my mind.

Less opportunity of injuries on shite WMS playing surface.

I'm all for getting to the bye week and rest.

Embarrassing UAPB was never on the table, at least not some 60-70 point victory.

Meh. It’s UAPB. Showed them a little respect by not being on the gas.

Now if that’s A State you full throttle their arse

What's the difference between stAte and UAPB?

When does UAPB deserve more respect than stAte?

Both rent a wins, and it's obvious that our second team needs major work. There a huge drop off between the first string and the second team.

Voluntarily giving 6 minutes of game time away when your backups are that bad was just dumb. Another rookie coaching mistake, IMO.

Still love you Pitt though.

Eh, they'll get better reps against our players than theirs.

I don't think he is soft, but that was a soft move, I agree. It shouldn't be repeated

all of this matters now, which is awesome.

However, had one of the better players at a position of need, including back up been injured...

we would be saying just the opposite

The game never should've been played.

I agree, but the head coach doesn't get to decide that

It was the right move from a player safety standpoint. Our guys need rest more than we need 2nd team reps that aren't as good as what they will get in practice.

Hopefully Saban will feel the same way

Exactly.

It was a good, classy move by Pittman. There was really zero need for this game in the first place, it was 45-0 at halftime and it was almost hard to watch for the UAPB players, who were clearly trying and just couldn't match up anywhere.

There was no need to rub their noses in it or demoralize them any worse, nobody really wins by doing that or gains anything from it.

The Hogs don't look any better or worse if they win 45-3 with shortened quarters or 60-3 with a full game, it just gives more opportunities for injuries and embarrassing an in-state school in a game that never should've been scheduled

Name another HC that's agreed to a shortened game.

I'll hang up and listen

Name another HC that's had a game against a program on UAPB's level, also from within the same state.

Name what we were trying to prove or accomplish by tacking on another TD or two. What good would it have done anyone?

Don't be a sourpuss, this game meant literally nothing and wouldn't have been better to prepare our 2nd string than the talent they face every day in practice.

You'd be the first one on here bitching if one of our key players got hurt or one of our much needed backups got hurt in garbage time.

Have some perspective, you're on here bitching about 6 WHOLE MINUTES of gametime against the cupcakeiest of all cupcakes and calling the coach soft. Everyone here knows you just like to bitch about anything, after any game. It's yours' and a couple others' schtick. You need to get laid and have a drink, and then get some perspective

It is kind of a soft message. It tells me Pittman cares more about players and people than playing football, winning games, and scoring points.

It's not a bad thing for now. It'll eventually be his undoing if he doesn't retire gracefully in a few years.

Or i guess he might also win enough high level assistants and recruits over with his personality that s few reps in the rock right now don't matter. Especially in front of a crowd that couldn't be bothered to show up.

But reality is other sec coaches would take every rep and chance to get better they can without regard to UAPB feelings or risk of injury.

In 2019, LSU best Northwestern State 65-14. 15 minute quarters were played

In case you've forgotten, they won the CFB playoff and SEC that year. So little was to be gained by blowing them out either

Our second team needs the reps, not cut short of 6 minutes of live playing time.

I despise the call by Pitt Boss. Never in over 50 years of being a Hog fan I've never seen this shite.

Maybe it's the millennial way to play.
