Here are the conference records of SEC West schools since Bielema became our head coach:
Alabama: 30-3
Auburn: 19-14
LSU: 19-14
Ms State: 17-17
Ole Miss: 16-16
A&M: 16-17
Arkansas: 10-23
Alabama: 30-3
Auburn: 19-14
LSU: 19-14
Ms State: 17-17
Ole Miss: 16-16
A&M: 16-17
Arkansas: 10-23

Interestingly (3) of those schools would be having their best 5 year stretch in and out of conference either ever or in decades:
Alabama: 30-3
Ms State: 17-17
Ole Miss: 16-16
(2) are pretty much average for the time we've been in the SEC
Auburn: 19-14
LSU: 19-14
You could argue aggy could be in the first group as well.
Also you a failed to post an actual chart.

No, but it was heading that direction. The recruiting had slacked off immensely, they direction of the program was heading off as well.
His treatment of those in the athletic department, in the bowl system, and even some in the ncaa was well documented internally. He was nearing his finish here and decided to go out in a blaze of glory. Assistants didn't want to work for the man under the conditions he set at Arkansas.
Now, would it be as bad... no. but....

The chart is clearly there, it's outlined in Bret's SEC championship trophies.

Yep if you have enough time to have an affair and that build up where you're wrecking a motorcycle w said side chick , you can definitely say he was comfortable, lazy, lax, and complacent.
It was a wake up call for him and he woke up. I do see him as a drifter and can't see him staying at Louisville.

if the rumors are correct... his buyout at Louisville will drop to half once his AD is gone...
So, lets go ahead and start the "Where will Bobby Petrino Coach next" thread.

How convenient.
What about recruiting falling off immensely? The only two decent teams Beilema fielded were full of his recruits.
You don't think both Allen's would have excelled under him?
Such a fallacy.

It was 3 months after we went 11-2 and beat the dog shite out of one of Kansas State's best ever teams with a Heisman finalist in the Cotton Bowl.
We were preseason top 10.
WTF are ya'll talking about? How short are your memories?
He would have won minimum 10 games with Wilson his last year and continued building around both Allen brothers.

The biggest lie on the innerwebz

I have heard these rumors as well. He won't be back here. However any chance Jeff Long darts to one of these "troubled" institutions in the next year?
I mean if boosters are putting up money for their choice in our next fb head coach then why wouldn't Long dart out and use his clean image to take over one of these programs?

Why would he go to a dirty program and try to clean up a shite show mess of an athletic department, likely with a ton of sanctions?

I will say this that skews that just a little... but not much maybe. Only one of those schools had John L. for a year.

Straight up dumb.
Petrino won 2 SEC games with Casey Dick and was close to 3 (UK game I think?).
Buttleima couldn't even muster a single win with a 4 star QB and a defense full of studs.

He had just signed the two worst recruiting classes to the hill since Jack Crowe was the head coach... You can't depend on coaching to overcome that discrepancy in league just like you can rely on talent to overcome coaching.
He hasn't exactly been lighting the world on fire at Louisville since then with an easier schedule, better inherited defensive recruits, or with the best player in the country on the field for him who happens to play QB, so obviously there is more to the foozballs than having a good QB...

Dude, Bert was worse than him. Don't care about the team talent, no excuse whatsoever getting upstaged by John L Smith.

The crazy thing of all of this is that Petrino has never stayed anywhere as a head coach past 4 years (for one reason or another), and lo and behold this is year 4 and it looks like the seas have parted for him to move along. Unbelievable.

Nutt won more SEC games with Dick as QB each of the 3 years prior.
