Absolutely. There were other glaring issues as well, but ultimately we still win this game fairly comfortably without the turnovers.
Those glaring issues would lose us games further down the road though, turnovers or not. That just wasn't the case today.
This is what happens when you open the season with a UAPB high school team. We had practically no tape or experience against quality players to see these issues and correct them before this game. I definitely agree with opening the season with a tuneup game, but UAPB and the likes are TOO easy. It tells your coaches nothing and your players don't learn from any relevant experience.

Not sure about that. I saw us kick their arse for 20 minutes and then get consistently outplayed for 40+OT

Do you remember last year when they beat us like 48-10, and then promptly got blown out by New Mexico State at home the next week?
At least they're losing to their cupcake at home BEFORE we play them this time. Maybe that's good for a reverse result.

Okie Light is the oldest team in college football and returned more starters than anybody else.
At the moment they are who their ranking says they are.
With that being said, there are no excuses for the loss today. We did what we have done since Bert. Pissed an easy win away.
