Just had a bad feeling about this game. First semi competent QB we've faced this year.

Difference in the game.

They made ZERO mistakes. We made too many.

He said after the Tennessee game that his hips have been killing him.

The guy desperately needs to retire after this season.

It is one thing when you're opponent is better than you are.

It is another issue when they are not only better but you're dragged down by poor coaching that doesn't close the gap.

You get an arse whipping that we saw tonight.

I had a bad feeling because we’re wildly inconsistent and have a penchant for celebrating a win too much instead of refocusing on an upcoming opponent.

We looked like a team that spent the last two weeks taking it easy, reading our press clippings, and getting our asses kissed. That's a hallmark of she Pittman era. Instead of enjoying the Tennessee win for 24 hours and then refocusing on the next opponent, we dwelled on it and milked the hell out of it.

I really hoped the bye week would help with that.

He only had 3 carries. Maybe he can’t handle a large workload but I’d like to see what he could do with more like 8-10.

That was my concern going into the game. We essentially spent our bye week on vacation. Not saying that as a joke, that was quite literally our plan. Watch film, go through a light walkthru and then take the week off. The problem with that plan is that while players have time to rest up you also get out of your routine.

I don't think it would have mattered anyway, LSU was definitely the better team against us last night, but we might have been more competitive. We bounced back from the previous losses this year, if we bounce back from this we'll probably make a bowl and God willing Sam will retire to his lake house. I don't say this to knock him, but its painful to watch him limping along the sidelines.

This isn't the LSU of old that had QB problems and played unmotivated in November.

They made a ton of mistakes this LSU team scored 1 td in the first half..... Had many procedures penalties. Their hangover was there........

We didn't come prepared to play and win. This didn't look like a team who just spent two weeks studying and getting ready to win a game against a top 10 opponent....

This game in Starkville is gonna be a bitch. State looks like they’ve improved weekly especially on offense.

We've improved since the beginning of the season as well. The question will be motivation. Do we show up ready to take advantage of them or show up like we did last night?

This.

LSU made their fair share of mistakes. We just refused to capitalize on them.

Nuss nearly threw several picks (1 of which was in the end zone) but our secondary refused to catch them.

Their OL committed an unfathomable number of penalties but we still never got off the field on 3rd down.

They weren’t gimmes like Dubinion fumbling deep in our territory or Green throwing a pick at the 2, but they were there.

Such a weird game. We didn’t play “that” bad and they still just handled us.

Did not love the reversion to Barry Odoms defense. That sucked but they probably would have burned us on much bigger plays.

We’re banged up, came out flat as hell and didn’t capitalize on anything. Was the type of game where marginal depth and recruiting really shows.

It was the Pittman era on repeat.

Have to limit the deadly turnovers for sure.

Those lead to the insurmountable blow out situation for sure.....but the game was lost without them.

Was it?

Down 6 with the ball before the INT.

Part of the D not being able to play aggressive was they were on the field like 15 minutes longer than our offense.

Offense was moving the ball, just couldn’t get it going meaningfully and 2 killers TOs.

Weird game.

I’m not so sure.

It was 10-0 when Dubinion fumbled. Our offense looked pretty good to that point. That fumble at our 28 basically spotted them 3 more points to go up 13-0.

The killer was Green’s pick. It was 16-10 and we had a chance to drive for the lead. Instead of driving and taking the lead or even punting, we spot the ball at the 2 and basically give them a TD to put the game out of reach.
