Yeah. I mean, I could squint and see where he was coming from starting a lefty considering their numbers against LHP. But don’t do that in the 1-0 game. Let them face your best available starter and then tip your cap if they beat them. Hindsight is 20/20 but that was a major unforced error.

This felt like the regular season team especially late.

Everything about it.

So we looking at McEntire/Smith tomorrow, Noland Wednesday and whatever this was again if we get to Thursday?

Sure did.

Everything from the questionable coaching decisions to the pitching falling apart to the horrific plate approach to the bats going quiet at inopportune times.

I think DVH knew this was going to be a rough game regardless of who is pitching because Ole Miss is super hot and Arkansas has a rivalry with them. So if you put the better pitching up and still lose then you are left with the scrubs for the elimination game. That is a lose lose situation.

Sometimes people have a feeling of what they believe is going to happen in a game. I felt that Ole was going to beat that arse from the beginning. It happened before in the 2019 supers.

Noland on three days rest? Do you remember what happened against OSU on short rest? Mac tomorrow, bullpen game Wednesday and Noland Thursday.

Yeah best case scenario is Mcentire gets in a groove, offense jumps ahead early, and we don’t have to burn smith/Tygart. Throw smith/Tygart/whoever else can get the ball over the damn plate Wednesday then we get Noland Thursday. Then get the benefit of a Oregon St rainout from 2018 and give our guys an extra day going into the weekend lol.

Well that sucked. Fly back home tomorrow and that’s a shitty game to leave on…

Yea. Mac tomorrow. I’d assume we would hope to get 6 out of him and have a nice lead. Bring in one of the lefties and try and hold Smith and Tygart for Wednesday.

If that happens, you can start Smith Wednesday against Ole Miss. If that doesn’t happen with a lead when Mac is done, you throw the kitchen sink at them to get to Wednesday.

I'm so ready for Ramage to leave. Wiggins too. They cost the game.

We need Mac to give up 5-7 innings tonight and a win. Then go Hagen and then Nolan.

Trest and Ledbetter looked better than Ramage and Wiggins

We have had shite for off speed lefty starters.

Wicklander was solid. But yeah they're few and far between. Seems like we've had a lot of inconsistent pitchers lately who look dominant for an inning then totally lose it and it makes it hard to figure out who we can trust from game to game. There was a point in the season I thought Ramage had actually started to figure it out then he reverts back to old Ramage. Not sure if it's just opponents getting more scouting reports over the course of the season or what.

That movement starks had on the ball at 95mph was filthy. If he can start locating that he will be nasty on the mound

Ole Miss was on a mission last night. They had us on their radar. I don’t think it would’ve mattered who pitched. I still like our chances. We still have the bats and arms to win 3 games

Another year in the pitching lab and he will have that sucker working right into the belt buckle 0-2.

Can't wait.

Looked like it. I thought he looked pretty good overall.

Gonna be shitty when some MLB team gets Wiggins and turns him into the next Randy Johnson in a year or two. Announcers saying 3 years isn't long enough to really develop a pitcher? My arse. Hell, just have them all get with Kopps and learn that one damn pitch!!

Movement and location>>>>>heat. Great if you can have all three. Every pitcher alive could learn from watching Greg Maddux. Not everyone could develop the command he had, but his overall approach.

Oh well. It'll be the same conversation year after year. If DVH can keep getting us here, maybe we'll get lucky once. Not done this year. OM is set up for a down game. Could see it against us if we get past Auburn. Then the pressure is on them in game 3. Don't know the percentages, but mentally it would suck more to lose game after rolling through the winners bracket.

The pitching lab seems to be a waste of resources. Sounds like a better way to frick pitchers up than help them. Year one of pitching lab does not appear to be a success.
