The problem is that now you’re seeing fewer and fewer of these players. Everyone is just trying to throw as hard as possible instead of having command. Just look at how many pitchers have struggled to throw strikes this post season. Not just on our team.

I know DVH will never do this, but Texas just fired their pitching coach. He was D1 assistant of the year last year for baseball. DVH is way too damn loyal to assistants like fricking Mike Anderson.

I can see where DVH was coming from going left against Ole Miss, but you are putting your faith in a guy with one start all year.
McEntire would have given us 4/5 good innings, probably would have given up a couple runs, but nothing we couldn't manage.

He's had all season to develop a viable lefty starter option for a scenario such as this.
