Same. Seems like every time I shite on Slavens for slumping hard, he breaks out in a big way.

Time for me to shite on all of our players, I guess.

Our hitting coach needs a tutorial at this point. Frustrating to say the least.

I don't think I've ever seen a super talented player regress quite like Robert Moore has this season.

Just doesn't have any power and can't get around on fastballs, and suddenly he can't hit lefty when he was absolutely ranking from the left side of the plate last year.

BTW, at least Auburn and A&M both lost tonight.

Auburn was beating Tennessee 4-2 in the 7th and Tennessee proceeded to score 15 runs in the 7th and 8th inning

I really want 10RC to go down in flames... But not before beating the rest of those who could possibly catch up to us.

It is crazy to see us this bad. Ole Miss of all teams again. When was the last time we took the series from them at home?

They looked like shite last night against Auburn and then suddenly turned into the 1927 Yankees in the 7th inning.

Their ability to turn it and just pour it on opponents is pretty incredible.

The odd thing is Moore really doesn’t strike out that much. Feel like he hits it into the shift every time.

It's crazy what Vitello has done with that program. Historically, Tennessee is a place where you go to get fired. He's a stud of a coach. People may not like their braggadocious antics, but you can never deny how well he recruits and develops talent.

Yep. He's late on a lot of fastballs, and when he corrects for it he then tends to ground into the shift. His spray chart likely shows a ton of 4-3 putouts.

Went and checked out the softball ladies today since game time was earlier than baseball. Pretty good squad they have.

Feels like he draws a lot of walks too. He's probably had the best approach at the plate overall this year, he's just not getting hits.

Two guys (Moore & Slavens) below the Mendoza Line and 2 more (Stovall and Gregory) flirting with it.

I've said forever that Slavens' stats are padded with empty calories from midweek pitching. There's a .80 point differential in his average between SEC and overall, which isn't good.

Conversely, it's pretty incredible that Turner's SEC-only average is actually better than his overall BA.

About what I thought. Moore hitting under .200 and still getting on base more than most of the team. Leading the team in walks and hbp while also striking out the least. Just can't find the gaps in the defense.

Trest depresses me. I thought for sure he'd be a stud. His stuff was so filthy as a freshman.

Opponents batting .310 against Zeb kinda supports my theory that his pitches aren't really all that deceptive. It really just comes down to whether they hit into an out or not.

Hopefully Smith doesn't have his normal SEC melt down on the bump.

Wow. 3 lineup changes from last night. Don’t think I’ve seen that this late in a season.
