What’s the word on postponement/cancellation? Weather doesn’t look good past about 7 pm.

They can reschedule for tomorrow. If they can't play tomorrow it goes to head to head record (tied) and then it goes to the higher seed. So we'd advance if it got to that point.

Looking at future radar, looks good till later in night. Could change fast but as of now looks good for the game.

If Wiggins can get out of the first inning with a confidence injection it will feed into the hitting.

We've hit better lefties this year.

Seems like we should be home team tonight. Nebraska was home team in their first game and last night. So I would think it should go back to us tonight.

Idk what kind of pitchers are in the big 10 but Wiggins is gonna come at them with pure gas and mix in the change up just to keep them honest. I think he’s been a better pitcher since he’s forgot about the curveball and became a 2 pitch guy.

Before injury Keaton McKinney was very effective with locating the fastball and having an effective change with no breaking ball...

Wiggins could strive to emulate that since he's already got the plus fastball.

Wiggins needs movement on his pitches. Most college teams can hit 94- 98 fast balls.

True. Doubt they saw too many 98-100 in the big 10 though

The scouting report on McKinney out of HS -

Changeup: 55/60

A knockout weapon already for McKinney, the changeup is his bread and butter; going to get swings and misses due to his arm action, which works masterfully at deceiving the hitter into believing the fastball is coming; pitch has really good late fading action once it gets close to the plate, and his feel for it is tremendous.

Don't need much movement on a 4 seam when this is thrown purposefully... helped McKinney become a freshman AA.

I bring this up because Wiggins doesn't look to have feel for any breaking balls, and an effective change doesn't require as much mastery of geometry.

Nebraska is pitching their Ace, Povich, who pitched Friday against Northeastern. He gave us 4 ER and is now on short rest. I can’t imagine he can go very far but who knows.

61 pitches I think they said. Treat it like Kopps, 2 days rest and maybe go another 50.
