Offensive quotes printed in a Russellville High School yearbook
RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. (KTHV) - Quotes about alcohol, sex, and race can all be found in a Russellville high school yearbook.
Comments like "cotton picker" and "I'm too drunk to taste this chicken" made it into Russellville High School's class of 2015 yearbook.
According to our affiliate, 5NEWS, Superintendent Randy Williams said the remarks were brought to his attention last week, and that he isn't sure how the offensive material made it into the yearbook.
"A typical process should catch it and it's very dependent on the sponsor to edit and look and determine that," said Williams. "But occasionally, in this case especially, it slipped through."
Williams says they're reviewing the yearbook-making process, but there are no plans to reprint the book.
The students behind the quotes will not be disciplined.

yeah, i've heard a bit. there was one that said i was born a poor black man or something stupid like that i think. i guess it's just stupid kids being stupid but i'm getting sick of that excuse. i personally wouldn't want that printed under my pic for all of eternity.
and then the billboard- that one that was in harrison, well someone put one up on the interstate in russellville too. ugh, embarrassing, i hope it gets burned down.

he probably was referencing the jerk (and i love that movie- i'm in the phone book!) but i still wouldn't want that quote under my pic in the yearbook.

We left a box of eaten fried chicken in a friends mailbox one time in high school after a night out. He was pissed when we saw him at school on Monday.
