Small IMHO will be a great hire. He participated in the Strength and Training programs here as an assistant kind of, while he was a player and knows our team/coaches well. Looking forward to it.

That’s what I meant, he has to realize he is a G5 dude if he sticks to QB. Could be a playmaker for someone if he ever decides to be a safety/DB or wide receiver.

I think he could be good, I just don’t know for sure. It isn’t like hiring a DC/OC or position coach.

I remember after that happened, later that season we had a rash of lower leg injuries on the team.
The narrative then became "Well if they werent lifting so much damn weight with crazy heavy squats maybe they wouldnt have all these stress fractures and lower leg injuries!!"
