I don't get this at all. Regardless of how underrated he seems to be among this fanbase, losing Odom and Briles in the same offseason would essentially put us back to square 1.

That's not even taking into account the optics of a coordinator leaving Arkansas for Mississippi State to take the same job. We are 100% the West doormat for the foreseeable future if that precedent gets set.

This board is so out of touch that posters are suggesting ole miss under kiffin is more run oriented than Briles Baylor teams.

We return KJ and Rocket. Those are the only guys with any proven production returning. If Briles were to leave this offense wouldn’t crack the top 85.

Well we are on square 3 and won as many SEC games as we did on square one so I don't see the problem.

Do I hate Briles? No. Is he as amazing as everyone thinks he is? Also no.

You guys have fun clutching your pearls though.

It's like we didn't just win 9 games.

Same old shite around here. Ignore context for the sake of propping up talking points that don't stand on their own. Nevermind the injuries this year or the fact that the defense was the weakness of the team.

I'd love to hear who you think we can go get right now that's available and an obvious upgrade to Briles.

Why hire broyles in the first place?

It made sense with the personnel we had at the time. We had an undersized O-line and the offense was centered around a 1st round WR. Now we have road grinders on the o-line and a stable full of quality RBs. He has also hired a top notch TE coach.

Some of us are absolutely nuts.

Brile is an incredible OC for us. Just go back to the BYU Game and watch, look at the Liberty Bowl Game.

Pittman needs to leave Briles the hell alone when it comes to the offense.

I gurandamntee you we would win more games overall. I watched Pittman tell Briles to slow it down, and run the ball not once, not twice, but three times in the Liberty Bowl and look what happened.

Let me just say it. I want Briles as the HC at Arkansas period, when Pittman leaves.

Spinks on 247

I have been laughing but it’s only been for a couple hours because I’ve been away at a clients deer lease with no service for a couple days and when i got it back a couple hours ago i thought my phone was going to explode because of this site lol. This is similar to the multiple other situations with one exception. I expect Miss St to push the envelope a little more than others because they knew KB just didnt want to leave. Oh by the way still doesn’t. Miss state is going to make him say no IMO and hopefully Ark steps up somewhat. They don’t have to go all the way but he deserves a raise and extension. I think at this time KB will be back in Fayetteville next year. Things can change fast but that’s my feeling for now.

That’s really not true.
He had 29 catches his freshman year. For 475 yards. The offense wasn’t centered around anything. Because we didn’t really have anything.

So next year anything less than 7 wins I can get my torches and pitchforks out for a new HC.

I guess I should have said it was obvious that’s who the offense should be centered around. Burks led the team in total yards his sophomore year. Woods also had a decent year. My point is Morris made a huge mistake trying to run a spread with players recruited to ground and pound. He lost the team before he could turn the roster over. Sam recognized that. Playing bully ball with 270 lb offensive lineman would have been a disaster.

I would define this as pearl clutching. I'll rephrase it to fit you sensibilities.

Ya'll enjoy being chicken little baby backed bitches about shite that hasn't even happened yet. Better?

If he goes, this is why. Can't blame him if Sam won't do the same.

I'm right there with you. Give the man a raise and extension with HC in waiting status.

I don't get the calls for Briles to be knighted as HC in waiting. Just about everybody has bitched about Briles at one point in the last year and now everybody is acting like we need to fire Pittman to promote Briles.

Kj still can't consistently hit a pass over the middle or find the open receiver that even frickin Ray Charles would see. How much of that is Kj and how much of that is Briles?

Who fckin knows

I think kj just doesn’t trust himself to make those throws without burks because he would make those throws last year. Could also have to do with his injuries this season.

No coach is going to be perfect, or make the 'perfect' calls all the time. But I do think he's one of the top OC's out there and has the potential to be a really good HC some day.

I've literally not seen anyone say this.
