Hop aboard the Muss buss folks, its going to be a crazy ride. His teams get after it. He's also such an enthusiastic supporter of the University in general. It is great to see.

Has the U of A ever had such a high level of coaches across all sports? Not just the big 3 of football, basketball, and baseball... I mean across the board. Our women's golf team is ranked #1. Our women's soccer team (once the worst team in SEC play and that says something) is ranked in the top 10 and riding an 11 game winning streak. We are competitive in just about every sport.

Really the only disappointment I can see is our men's track team. Other than that this is the golden age of Arkansas athletics.

I love that a guy with Muss' basketball pedigree is so willing to do goofy stuff like this. He really gets how to bring positive attention to Arkansas.

Is there any way possible that he's positioning for another job somewhere else? I think no

How do you expend this much energy into a place if it's not your dream come true?

NWA is the best place on planet earth (hmm...idea for a Rant thread) and Muss has been around the country long enough to know it

I think Muss and his family have found their dream come true, same with Pittboss - and best two coach's wives on planet earth

not disagreeing with ya, but...but, Muss did this same kind of stuff at Nevada. He is a social media savant, and can sale ice water to an eskimo.

Hope he is here for a long, long time though

I could see him, in the fullness of time, returning to the Southern California area, particularly when he gets close to retirement age.

Fortunately Arkansas offers everything that a coach like him wants... a very solid recruiting base, rabid fan support, first class facilities, and a willingness to splash the cash. I don't think he is in any hurry to leave.

And it's only going to get better with all the libs they are recruiting from Austin and Milwaukee, among others. Paying them to move there!
But that's a thread for another board, sort of...

I don't know a bout that. Washington county was cleaning closer to Brandon.

That's why they are recruiting libs.

HRV,

I sure like you as a poster, but I don't think I can agree with you here. NWA is getting bluer as the years roll on by. It's quite repulsive.

A lot of Subarus in NWA being special ordered with butt plugs factory installed in the driver's seat along with environmentally friendly soy latte cup holders.

So the people of San Diego love musselman. My wife and I have had sports bars cheering us on out here cause Muss was leading the team. It's crazy the stories you hear about pickup games with him and random people. He's by all accounts a great person

UCLA/USC are really the only draws out there that worry me. Fortunately Cronin and the dunk city guy are having a ton of success at both places and look to be there for a while unless they get the NBA call/bug. USC only because of the location/lifestyle but even that is becoming less appealing to people, even when filthy rich.

He's not dropping down to a SD school from Arkansas unless forced.

The only job he is leaving for is the NBA. That is if he wants to go back.
