Our media is a joke. They rub elbows initially with every coach we get, but don’t ask the tuff questions till it all starts to fall apart. Soon, they’ll all start telling stories of how Bret is an a-hole control freak and nobody likes him in the AD.

I believe the guy is, in fact, an a-hole so it wouldn't surprise me if that happened.

If you were a media member, which would you prefer: a good relationship with the coach, SID and staff, or a good relationship with people like Eddie from Clarksville?

Bo tried to argue with a caller about it yesterday, somewhat giving the appearance that he was defending Bielema yet all the while claiming “I’m not arguing with you” while arguing with the caller.
Bo just talks in circles. Like I’ve said before, he says a profound amount of words without really saying anything at all.
I understand his desire to defend Bielema the last several years seeing as how access was his gravy train, but there are two weeks (at most) left in his tenure. What’s the point of even keeping up this facade of defending the guy?
Hell, even Schaeffer and Rainwater are lobbing potshots at Bert. When you lose those two, ya done messed up, A-a-ron.

Bo pretends to be smart, so when actual smart people call in to his show he doesn't know how to handle it and still treats them like they're stupid.

I wouldn't throw Schaeffer in there but he is probably getting as negative as possible for him.

Yep. Put a fork in Bielema, he's done. Say what you will about the Arkansas media being in the hip pocked of the AD... but it means that when they start firing away on a coach like this they have unofficial approval.
Its like the old Soviet newspapers. When they start calling someone out that person is on a one way trip to Siberia. Or the morgue.

You have no clue what you're talking about.

I get what your saying, it's just annoying. It's the same circle every coaching hire. I mean at least even Saban gets tough questions. He might deflect and get pissed, but at least he gets pushed.
Every Arkansas coach comes in with the Arkansas media laying out the red carpet.

That was essentially what happened with the Hammonds caller with whom Bo tried to argue.
Bo got a bit valedictory with the guy, the caller refused to back down and was fairly eloquent, and Bo ended up looking like an idiot.

I don't get the Hammonds obsession...
Can he catch worth a shite? He couldn't find the field as a WR.
Can he pass block at all?
If he can't do everything that a RB is expected to do, then he isn't going to play much.
Hitting a HR on Coastal Carolina doesn't make you a HR hitter.
Look at Korliss Marshall... people acted the same about him (less so, due to the fact that our backs were better then), and when he was forced to transfer, he couldn't get on the field at a directional school.

The answers are -
1 - Don't know because Bielema won't play him.
and 2 - Dont know because Bielema won't play him.

Korliss was a GD idiot who couldn’t get out of his own way and had to transfer due to off-field issues.
I wouldn’t exactly use him as a corollary.

Doesn't change the fact that he warmed the bench after he left Arkansas

How exactly is that applicable to Hammonds?

Come on man, don't be obtuse... Go read my first post about Hammonds again.

This is the double-think prevalent in the fanbase right now. Everyone thinks Hammonds is amazing because he had good games against two of the worst teams on the schedule.

Hammonds is a Tavon Austin type of player. I'm not saying he is that caliber but that type.
You notice he didn't do shite with JF as coach but when McVay got there he has found creative ways to get him the ball.

What does your post have to do with Hammonds at all? The only thing that those two have in common is that they are both third string running backs that fans think should get the ball more, yet the FANS don't know if they can do everything that a running back is required to do.
