Came out after this but I don't subscribe to rivals.

Rumor has it that Miller said no.

I'm betting the NIL wasn't there. No reason to wreck the career going to the SEC but I'm sure it pays a hell of a lot more.

Rest assure that NIL will be to blame and the lack luster hire is praised for "wanting to be here", the Yurachekeffect.

This from one of the three revenue producing sports in the NCAA.

It’s a terrible job. Even worse than our football job. If you are truly the next big thing, you shouldn’t come near this job.

Three sports in the NCAA make money or produce revenue.

Football
Men's basketball
Women's basketball

These are also the largest audience for NCAA sports and are in order of popularity.

For a man all about the revenue and the dream being sold that this revenue being shared with the athletes will fix all problems, another coaching search and another dud of a hire coming.

There is no way women's basketball at Arkansas is revenue producing right now. I'd believe gymnastics before women's basketball. They get some good size crowds in Bud Walton for gymnastics.

Seems like baseball has made a profit, I’ve never heard of wbb making any profit.

Maybe so but not revenue generating directly from the product on the court. Their crowds are horrific

I'm stunned there's not been an announcement. They knew MN would be out before the year started.

Why would there be an announcement unless it’s a coach who is unemployed or not in the tournament

You are stunned that this administration has failed at something? All they’ve done is fail at everything.

Baseball is a non revenue sport across the NCAA.

On the good years Arkansas breaks even in baseball and is only one of a hand full of baseball programs to do so with the majority of these teams being in the SEC.

Women's basketball generates revenue across the NCAA thanks in part to the media packages available and a wider audience interested in the sport compared to the other NCAA sports outside of Football and Men's basketball.

All Arkansas had to do is not be a huge dumpster fire and field a team that can make the NCAA tournament to generate a larger revenue in the sport than is probable in baseball, softball, gymnastics, etc.

In a state that produces a surplus of female basketball talent we've made the decision to make our program a laughing stock. With a small investment we could be a perennial NCAA tournament team. With a large invest we could be a national title contender.

Speaking of that, shout out to the Farmington Lady Cardinals on their 3rd straight state championship. Love to see the greatness maintained.

They could be that but lack the fan support compared to some of the competition in the SEC. Without enough fan support to push the athletic department of any decisions or changes then it continue to be the same over and over again.
