Good hire.

Mike is a good coach. Just not good enough after 8 years.

Good for him.

First HC we had in a long while who actively tried to soften the buyout blow to the university by seaming employement so soon after being dismissed.

Stan Heath was the last. Pel worked for basically minimum wage at Florida, kinda like Bert is doing in the NFL.

I saw Coach A at Cherokee last weekend. I hope he succeeds at SJ. Great person and representative for the program, but it wasn't meant to be.

This really surprises me. Does St. Johns still have good teams?

Regardless, I hope he fares well there. I've always sort of like St. Johns basketball and might even pull for them some.

Bizarre matching for a guy who coached and played in this southern region.

Maybe it’s to get his “guys” more checks, staff will be interesting.

Or maybe he wants to coach this upcoming season and wants the biggest platform that he can get at this time.

Perhaps, and I wish him amazing success... BUt the location, recruiting that will have to be done, etc... seems really, really odd.

Not a great fit imho.

I didn't, I don't think. I still think he is an incredible man period.

Anywho, good luck mike and musselman both.

Not sure what shape the program is in but he will get it clean after a couple of seasons. Other than that they will be 500.
